However, plenty of educated people vote for PPP or PMLN as well. I've literally seen educated people here in the US who still support PMLN, lol.

The answer is not to disenfranchise the poorest majority. You take away the ONLY means poor have to be noticed and their existence minimally acknowledged.

That's the problem. There was one party PTI that tried election reform and that was quickly reversed as soon as PDM cam back to power, courtesy of who? The same uneducated masses that gave them more seats than PTI.

PPP has an unsaid policy of ensuring education does not reach interior Sindh. Because keeping the masses uneducated works beautifully in their favor.

I'm not saying don't let them vote, but you have to realize that giving them a vote is the same as giving them a rope to hang themselves.

So, why not suggest taking away the feudal lords' right to vote? Instead he says, "give the right to vote only to people who have completed matriculation“. Very elitist.

It could be because:

1. Most have no say in how it’s handled
2. Are not allowed to participate in dealing with the problem
3. Know they would be on the hook to may a large part of it and want to kick the can down the road.

They just know how to live in their bubbles subconsciously hoping today is not the day the “unwashed” masses don’t come storm their gates, demanding bread.

That's true, a sizeable chunk of elites may already have contingency measures like dual citizenship, foreign bank accounts et al, but it may be too far-fetched to believe most of their wealth is out of Pakistan.

Sounds great, but as long as the masses continue voting for feudal lords, you can't touch them. Even the judiciary has become rotten due to their influence.

If land reform was done just like in India, these feudal lords wouldn't exist and you would have true democracy.

Education offers a way but if you started today then you would see the results after maybe 20 years. Pakistan is paying the price of having become, and been, a "Security State", with the added irony that it is no longer secure,

Education for the masses is a no no, otherwise people would begin to understand the root of all evils. Corrupt politicians, army. Educated public would throw out Vaderas, bhuttos, sharifs, be voting with their brains, understand benefits of meritocracy, question instead of being led blindly.. etc. etc.
Hence why non of the ‘royal families’ like promoting education for the masses…

You have touched most sensitive area of Pakistan - "Defense cuts" what cut backs are you expecting when they can't afford even pay interest on the earlier loans through current tax collections.

In the FY 2023-24 GoP's budgeted expected net tax receipt is 6979 Billion after transferring to states but GoP is expected to make Interest payment of 7303 Billion i.e., they are payment 324 Billion interest through loan and all other allocations will be financed by barrowings.

Where as Establishments are in pursuit of all vanity projects like J-10, J-20, TAI TF Kaan, VT-4, submarines & frigates they are only bothered about having more powerful weapons' to counter India forgetting plight of common man for whom they needed to fight for.
