that would increase the price. how? why? the seller is selling technology. so not are you only getting a jet, your getting the technology as well with it regardless of the scope and type.

Technically---emirates is well set with its current strike force and if it inducts either the rafale or the eurofighter---there is no reason for it to go for any other heavy aircraft for another 5 years.

The problem with pakistan is a different one----geograpgy. It needs a heavy and it needs it with a long range---in the category of an F111 aardvark----and as it cannot get that---then it needs to settle for the JH7B.

There is a lot of unpredictability in the news coming out of paf---.

Pak military is WASTING FUNDS for going after 8 submarines in a 5 billion dollars contract at one time--where the first sub be delivered in the next 2 years and the last one after 10 to 12 years.

These funds should have been split three ways---half the funds should have gone for the subs---the other half for the heavies and F22 frigates and an 054 type frigate---.

Bad bad mistake by pak military----beyond the stage---of what you may call " A Blunder ".

firstly the uae is buying more blk60 f16's. this is seen as the alternative to buying a new platform.
the jh7b is old yet a capable fighter but wont join paf due to the fact that pakistan is not going to war tommorow!

buying 8 sub is a brilliant idea, far better than frigates or surface vessals. surface vessels are exposed and vunerable whilst sub are not vunerable. yes the dont have anti air measures which the only type of firgate/destroyer i like (type 45).
pakistan should by more subs!

also dont you think pakistani millitary strategists know what they are doing. so i think is a bit naive of you to say its a blunder. i think they know what they are doing. you just sit tight and enjoy.

On a serious note, if the Blk 61's can come, so can the rest of the fleet be upgraded to "V" specs.

well F-16 is something that we have to pass through from it I know there are some serious modifications done with new upcoming blocks of F-16 but no.... we need much more efficient fighter jet like that of j 31 or rafales or mirages 2000 to 2000-9 as americans will never give F 22 or F 35 of what so ever reason i don't want to guess

Bro, calm down. The UAE is buying Blk61's as a stop gap measure. We need heavier fighters. "Longer legs, larger payloads".

Once they arrive, the remaining will be brought up to Blk61 specs.
