Pakistan hampering trade with India: Afghanistan

We granted you MFN status ages back which you failed to reciprocate back to us, we need a little give and take on both sides.

Of course you did but do you wonder why we never reciprocated because that MFN was just a three letter word with all them Non-Tariff barriers hampering our access to the 1.2 billion market that you talk about !

.
I hope they - the Afghans - then do something stupid so that we can close the border for a few months & let them know, once more, that playing hardball with Pakistan doesn't really work !
Well to push Pakistan out of Pakistan, India may invest billions to provide them food, electricity, education and medical help. Also India can invest in billions to get the trade running and harness their resources while economic development in Afghanistan occurs and people get employed.

Money is not a problem and once trade increases, we will get the good amount of return.

It help take away Pakistan's headache and will fuel India's economy and create an ally at western side of Pakistan.

See, Evil Yindoo Baniya had every cards up his sleeve. :D

.
Afghanistan needs to understand Afghan trade with India is a privilege not a right.

.
That line is straight out of a difa e pakistan statement but ask the Pakistan confederation of commerce they say otherwise. You got a massive market at your doorstep with 1.2 billion people to export to if you do not wish to take this opportunity to expand trade ties sure we will suffer but so will your people.

i dint read that statement but thats what we have observed.

2. we are already exporting items to India but the trade balance between the two countries is not at the same level hence its India who is benefiting by coming to Pakistani market.

3. same will be the case with Afghanistan even if we allow India access to Afghanistan it will mean India will get the market whereas Afghanistan wont have much to export to Indian markets.

4. Afghanistan can expot few items including gem/stones, dry fruit.

The biggest item is opium but India wont like it.

Well good luck with that, Uncle Sam pumped in Trillions & it didn't do sh*t !

They're still forced to doing what we asked them to in '01 !

Of course some barriers are in place we have to protect our domestic producers also because in some sectors you are more competitive to us but we can work through such issues, likewise there is barriers on your side also it is a little give and take here but we should take a example of EU if they can do it why not us?

MFN status is useless as long as Indian Hindu extremist groups like shiv sena /bajrangis are there and followed by same mindset people in India. These Hindu militants hamper any trade from Pakistan and harm Pakistani business community and everyone from Pakistan at will at any time. Hence India can not be trusted neither a trusted business destination for Pakistan.

Should that not be for Afghanistan to decide? I mean they have already stated they want India to have transit via Pakistan it is of benefit to the people living there who have suffered enough.

They are rich in minerals most of which are untapped and we have a huge market for that so it is a win win situation for all of us including Pakistan.

.
Pakistani women Cricket team is not allowed to play in Pakistan.

But

Pakistan should allow us transit trade with Afghanistan.

How cute. :pop:

US pumped Trillions to kill Afghanis. Kindly see the expenditure of India and US in Afghanistan and the survey report about who Afghan favors.

For many Afghanis, India means education, hospital, electricity and Bollywood whereas US means Guns and Bombs.

Actually there are more than just 'some barriers' in place; the Pakistani businessmen that I've talked to were so fed up with them that after a few months of trying & having their goods being stranded on Wagha or some place in India instead of their destination & having to use overdraft over & over again they just quit the Indian Market & instead exported them elsewhere - namely Malaysia, Thailand, China & Sri Lanka !

Those barriers were the reason why we never reciprocated the MFN because it didn't mean anything ! And Pakistan has a very free market with very little barriers to entry; anyone can trade....just ask the Chinese !

We can & we should work around that but this bringing up of 'we gave you the MFN so long ago & you didn't reciprocate it' is in bad taste because what you gave us didn't mean anything & defeated the very purpose of free-trade that WTO was supposed to be all about.

The evil yindoo banaya has always been under day dreaming building castles in the air and end up giving up its castles on ground to Muslim invaders :D
And those Muslim invaders get lost in time while Evil Yindoo Baniya is still there with over 900 million population and one of the fastest growing economy. :D

And the land from where the Muslim invaders came are now trade partners with this Baniya as they know that Baniya now have Khashtriya protecting them. :D

Afghanistan needs to understand Afghan trade with India is a privilege not a right.
Privilege, not a right ?

Kindly explain.
