Those are pretty correct sources and numbers

And yes we do have 600 al Zarrar ( this is as if 2012 ) we should have about 800-850 now , along side 1000 type 59/69 of which 269~ were given minor upgrades and were given to FC and a few hundred others were also given Minor upgrades to be used in Zarb-e-Azb , but about 400 are still in garages and are being constantly upgraded to al Zarrar

500 al Khalid's are also as of 2012 I don't know the production capacity but I have heard from a few weak sources about having 600~ tanks though I can't tell for sure

And as for the numbers about which this thread was about , there hasn't been a military count lately , but a few medium strength sources indicate the numbers to be at 1.94 mil
And about the ppl talking about our Jawans , in contrary to the wide speculation of our Jawans being a bit "nadaan" , I have seen that most of them are very clever about their choices and even if they didn't get as high of an education , their general knowledge skills are indeed very high , you could pick any random soldier and he would know pretty much the basics it most things ( electronics , engineering , etc) and they are pretty disciplined aswell , and their professionalism is increasing by the day , we just need to hope for a better future

They are used mainly against TTP since they can't use to big guns there due to the terrain and also by mountain units on the afghan borders , bigger ones are hard to transport and they aren't even needed there these do the job just fine

Budget sucks otherwise Para Military needs to be massively reequipped and also Army size needs to be increased

Even Bangladesh has a military reaching 2.5 million and we are barely more than 1.5 million. I know that our equipment is better and more than bangladesh. Our military is more modernized, capable and powerful than bangladesh but i wonder how bangladesh manage such big military with a budget barely over 2$ billion.

By the way do you know how much we spend on nukes every year?

In terms of what? manpower?
Manpower is an outdated definition, today's power in measured in equipment AND sophistication.
By that definition, not only are US enlistees better trained and equivalent in understanding of combat to a Pakistani NCO; they are also much much better equipped.

Yeah, I just meant in terms of manpower. The American army is only 450,000 regulars and I think about 400,000 National Guard, our primary reserve component.

The guard are weekend warriors and generally stupid. I've witnessed a regular infantry platoon kill an entire battalion of guard troopers in exercises with these

I would beg to differ. Both army and air force guard units in the US are highly regarded by the regular forces. A huge percentage of guardsmen are ex-regular army soldiers and airmen who although, a bit older, are much more experienced. On top of that, guard units since 9/11/2001 have acquired long combat experience and are no longer "weekend warriors". Not by a long shot. Most guard units have rotated into long combat tours in either Afghanistan, Iraq or both as well as other overseas areas. Almost 30% of all US military forces in combat zones are National Guard deployed troops. Air guard fighter pilots routinely best their regular air force counterparts in air-to air competitions and training fights due to their many more flight hours and combat experience.

There is a difference in the ANG and the Army national guard. Having witnessed both in training, the ANG standards and those of the army national guard are worlds apart.

Not sure about Ferret or Chinese APC in service at all. neither Type-63 nor WZ-551
UR-416 is with police now i think.

QF-25 or 25 pounder is only ceremonial. not active service. Could be with FC but i doubt it.
There is a big mixture of 105mm, 122mm, 130mm, 155mm guns.
Type-56 is 85mm. Panter should be replacing this.

I don't understand. What is the ANG that you are speaking of? In the USA the ANG is the Army National Guard. What other ANG is there?

ANG I speak of is Air national guard.
the Army's national guard; at least the ones in Texas, New York and Georgia leave MUCH to be desired.
