Pakistan government and TTP working on a peace deal

. .
Need to eliminate them forever. Or they will become active again. When they find new financial backers. This will be a mistake.

I don't think so, It is a war, 1 way of winning it is through negotiations. There are no perfect solutions here, It's been around a decade and a half now, they could be eliminated long ago, if it was that easy.

True, now we have AT in Afghanistan and they are promising good things with us, but still we need to decrease our enemies, If AT are managing these negotiations then i hope good results.

Since last few months it's BLA not TTP, that is very active, we need to concentrate on them. If TTP accepts peace, the alliance & cooperation between both the terror groups can be broken, hence dividing our enemies & then BLA can be dealt accordingly. Who knows they may also follow suit.

This is not the time for egos, revenge or a rage, but we need to be wise in our decisions.

. . .
3 things - this could be the standard offer of peace before the military launches a jaw breaking operation

- this could be an actual change of heart within the TTP leadership (unlikely) and decided peace is the best way forward, which is good news for everyone.

- the twitter handles could be talking a load of ๐Ÿ’ฉ

.
We did negotiate with TTP before and bombed them to smithereens once they didn't backed out from their deal. Another chance is being given to militants before PA pushes for greater offense beyond the borders of Pakistan.

.
The geopolitics of the region has changed. TTP backers are fleeing and the absolutely government seems to be that of IEA. These guys need to make peace or else their future is at stake. There is no US airpower that will prevent Pakistan from using PAF to bomb them in Afghanistan.

Second, the core reason TTP was fighting Pakistan was because of Pakistan's support for infidels war on terror. That infidel no longer exists and the IEA must have told TTP of the immense support Pakistan is giving for the victory of Islam. Basically, their reason to target Pakistan no longer exists and anything from this point onwards would be an insuld to IEA and direct, needless, confrontation with Pakistan. They would be ground to dust between the two powers.

It has to be a multiprong strategy
Talk to them who are ready to lay down arms and kill those who arnt

Otherwise it will hold development for years as it been doing now for 15 yrs

Not a fan of Ammar rashid's views nor Talha Ahmed generally as he is a nonce however he is bringing up a good point about how certain people were trying to portray this image of the Taliban in a good light and thus tried to come up with multiple irrational theories on Maulvi faqir. But what's done is done no point in arguing about it, i hope people can come to agreement that he was indeed released via Prison release by the Taliban based on the amount of info regarding it.

Regarding negotiations this is the 2nd time this year that rumors have floated of it iirc.

The Afghanistan may have been no longer a base for launching attacks against Pakistan, but beware that the faceless social media handles are still being operated from India and can effect public opinion
