Pakistan finalized Z-10ME Helicopters deal with China : Journalist Sumaira Khan

I think the Z-10s should have given the priority over the VT-4s. We need gunship helis not just for LOC but afghan border sometimes requires quick response. The checkposts can only identify infiltration, they cannot effectively chase heavily armed militants in the darkness of night. The drones are slow / carries much lower payload. Fighter jets are too costly Op / plus not suited for this role of chasing individuals.

See this Apache action on Taliban:

Advanced helicopter gunships are very expensive weapons, possibly up to $20 million. There are cheaper drones available for missions like border patrol. There are tens of thousands of dollars worth of drones with infrared detection, which are great for patrolling the border.

Absolutely right. I know the importance of drones for surveillance / patrolling. But you didn't read the crux of my post. I am mentioning the infiltration of militants. The drone can carry max 4 weapons. How its supposed to chase 30 odd militants going to different directions under fire. The gunship plays critical role in that scenario.

See the video i posted. There is no drone that can achieve that effect. Pakistan also used its Cobras in war against terror all the time. The gunships are very important in such missions especially against militants. The main reason is you get to have heavy machine gun in air. Which is not possible with drones. Bullets are far more cheaper then missiles as well.

I recommend this flying grenade,CH817

Drones with infrared cameras are used for the search. Use the CH817 to destroy the enemy. No logistics, no pilot, any soldier can carry it, it weighs just 850g and has a range of 16km

T129 vs Z10.

Z10ME data not available, but its is expected to be better than Z10.

raw data source: wikipedia.

The data of powerplant in that chart corresponds to previous WZ-9A turboshaft (957 kW) which is underpowered, for the new WZ-9C on ME (exhibited at 2018 Zhuhai Airshow) it is 1200 kW.

Imagine Drone gunship helicopter thing. 20mm gun few missiles compact would be perfect

But Z-10 couldn't handle Pakistani climate, altitude, etc. so it would've been a useless machine to acquire from Pakistani point of view.
Repeat number 13 (yes I’m gonna number them now because I want people to realize they never research before posting): the Z-10ME Pakistan is looking to acquire now is not the same as the Z-10M which had issues in desert trials (and not high altitude trials, idk where that started). It has upgraded engines, better filtration systems (cause of the issues in Z-10M) apart from many other upgrades.

Right just like China make J-10 after Pakistan interest & tecnical Assistance China modified it & make J-10C same like China send first 3 Z-10 for trial & Testing when Pakistan highlighted weaknises & Flaws so China modified its Z-10 & convert them into Z-10ME...:pakistan::china:

If you're arguing about the ATAK-II: The first engine deliveries for the Heavy Class Attack Helicopter are planned in 2022. After the engine delivery of the Ukrainian MotorSich company, ATAK-II will start to run rotors for ground tests as of the second half of this year. The first helicopter is expected to join the TAF inventory in 2025. These will lead to highly speculative interpretations that have little relevance to the current issue and if we consider them in line with Pakistan's relevance.

Thanks a lot for this statement, maybe now @Hakikat ve Hikmet will revise his claims.

Confusing... Netflix can find enough material to shoot a 5-season series about Pakistan's experience in the attack helicopter program tender.
That's exactly what I've predicted
