Brother Khafee had mentioned the new F-16s were conditional upon us signing on their terms. With the induction process of Rafales being started across the red border, those shiny solas likely look very alluring. I am guessing the terms were related to what's coming to a head with the Iran plan. And the sudden positivity emanating from the Arab lands feels to me the agreement was very recently finalized. Pompeo's statement further adds to my suspicions.

In my view, if our involvement only brings in dollars and solas, we have lost already. But seeing as how eager the US is to leave Afghanistan behind, I would personally be satisfied with the Afghanistan handoff to us in return for cooperation on the plan.

I think peaceful protest should be allowed, it happens all over the world by the public. If things turn violent or anyone is hurt then yes, they should be arrested.

Not Pakistan (as in not the state), but Pakistanis (citizens). My point is, protest happens in every civilized nation, you and I may not care as much about the cause of each protest or we may disagree with it altogether but most places allow protest to happen as long as protesters follow necessary guidelines. There are about 200 million individuals in Pakistan and if some people feel angered by whatever happen and think they need to protest, i dont see anything wrong with it, as long as they dont cross any lines or hurt anyone.

The govt can keep quiet but if war breaks out between US and iran, Pakistan will automatically be dragged in some form. We have huge shia population and many would want to volunteer. There are already alot of Pakistani shias fighting in syria and iraq.

So we need to plan ahead, seal border, avtivate intelligence based operations and monitor each and every thing carefully. Yes on the fro t we should be totally neutral and silent and only work to protect ourselves.
