Pakistan donates planeload of wheat to Afghanistan

There is nothing wrong with sending surplus wheat to people in need. Not only it's a good deeds and sends positive message. It also gives Pakistan a little bit more leverage into Afghan affairs. Just like US, which spends fraction of its ginormous budgets on foreign aid packages to get substantial leverage all around the world.

Valid points counted.... India too is doing charity works in Afghanistan....but really they are doing all these works out of generous... I think NO!
They have certain motives.....
Involved proxy war against Pakistan...
You haven't counted the contribution of US in creation of Jihadis to fight soviet in Afghanistan... might be you again says that it was mistake done by US... then again big question
Why US again supplied arms to Al-Quida in Libya and Syria?
Why they created ISIS? might be you deny of this but world acknowledge...

They created many NGO's who is working against countries interest that not we are speaking but India too was complaining and banned many organisation.....

Its long term motives to influence their policies and later create havoc in the country... its old game...
In our case we have done done out of generous as Islam teaches us brotherhood feeling with all muslims world... We have feeling for all those muslims who is suffering whether it is Burma, India or somalia... we are having big heart..

As far as "Creation of Jihadis," we were already in a low key conflict and fueling an insurgency in the Afghan countryside way before the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan. Prof. Rabbani, Ahmed Shah Masoud, Engr. Hikmatyar did not spring up out of the blue! We knew them and were engaged with them way before the Soviet Union walked into Afghanistan.

But as usual we miscalculated the impact and its consequences of destabilizing Afghanistan and USSR could not sit on the side lines watch its client state slip out of its hands.

However I must acknowledge here and for the record we started all this (during Bhutto's time) when Afghanistan started actively meddling in NWFP.

As far as the other Jihadis, the Arab contingent (Which later, went on to become Al-Qaeda) was not of US making but that of our brother living in the Sands of Arabia.

And my friend did we act any differently when we were in the driving seat in Afghanistan? We got one chance in atleast our lifetime and we acted as an Imperial power -- showed all the imperialist tendencies when dealing with Afghanistan post fall of Kabul. That is the nature of the beast.

Our biggest gift to Afghanistan was the NGO --- Taliban!!

Now we come to ISIS -- while we are counting the list of countries that supported or created ISIS, let us not forget KSA, Qatar, Kuwait UAE, and yes you got it right - we too helped in this "Kaar e Khair!!" We supplied Anti tank Missiles and light weapons to KSA for onward shipment to anti GoS forces among them the group that later went on to become ISIS.

Now my friend whose hands are clean??

As far as the long term engagement and its havoc -- like it or not we had the chance to disengage after the departure of Soviet Union and avoid the repercussions -- infact we signed on the Geneva Accord promising not to supply weapons to any of the warring sides - but our ambitions to project influence (Yesss Imperialistic tendencies) in Afghanistan and beyond got us deeper into a mess which everyone knew was a mess, except us. Yes we always like to tell that to the Americans and the Soviets too that they should learn form history but we ourselves forgot that very same lesson and went lock stock and barrel into Afghanistan.

We need to quit blaming others for our own stupidities and mistakes and wrong policies. Our leaders are great spin doctors and our populace quite gullible. Right from 1965 on wards our leaders Friends not Masters to Mard e Haq, to Heavy Mandate, have been hiding their own failings and blaming it on others!!!!

US and other countries including us will do and act in their own interest and not necessarily for the interest others when it does not suit them. Otherwise we should have gone ahead into Yemen but we did not -- this time around we did right. One lesson we did learn from the Syrian adventure and its fallout i.e. ISIS was to keep out of this Arab politics.

Plane load of wheat for Afghanistan ! We are not thousands of kilometers from Afghanistan to send them planeload of wheat. What a sick joke ! We need free movement of goods between Pakistan and Afghanistan including agriculture products.

Appreciate your view.. but every coins has two sides.
But I think long before we were meddling in Afghanistan.. India has a solid influence in Afghanistan and were using against us creating Baloach insurgency. Actually we were late in meddling.
US is number 1 country in all terms. Tell me one thing US meddle in almost every country from very past to till date. I am not saying that Pakistan too follow that steps but in order to be stable we need to carry out some operation wherever needed.
Saudi too is created by UK and US. Just have some research.
They funded CIA and MOSSAD to create ISIS which has no objective of doing something for Islam.
Afghanistan Taliban is not a terrorist organisation.
They were doing good job before US attack Afghanistan.

The only problem with Pakistan was corrupt politician and some generals too. But we will never get ideal situation. We need to act whenever and wherever there is need.
Sitting idle is worst than loosing war.
I am not saying to go for war. But we need to prioritise our action. The very first step was huge investment in education and second was agriculture and defence side by side. But from very beginning there was almost nil investment in education which results in failure not because of meddling.
Today also I will favour for education as it will improve our thinking capability.

we just need to fence the boarder and shoot any hostility at sight
What a childish way to deal, learn to be a regional player and appreciate positive things instead of sealing everything that looks hostile to you.

My friend the Baluchistan meddling during Bhutto's' time was the work of KGB and not of the Indians. Even Iraq was used to supply arms to insurgents. Afghanistan was used as a safe haven and a staging area. India was concentrating E. Pakistan and then wrapping up what they had achieved. There are some interesting books about this written by well known authors amongst them a former Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan.

As far as meddling is concerned -- it all depends upon which side of the coin you are looking at. US meddling in Korea?? Yes true. Meddling in Japan - true, Meddling in Taiwan, Meddling in Germany - True, Philippines, true, Israel, true Colombia true ........ -- but then ask any of these countries , they would tell u that they support this "Meddling" to some extent. And then there is another set of countries which do not -- the other side of the coin!

The bottom line is that countries that reach a certain economic size and based upon their geography and disposition start hedging against future threats (We do not, as we do not have a long term approach to any thing we are "Mitti Pao," "Dekhan gay," "Allah pay chor daitay hain" lot)

Eventually these countries end up playing in a large pond. Case in point is growth of USSR and its meddling in so many countries that it is beyond imagination -- and none of the countries did well during and immediately after the meddling was over.

USA based on its threat perception; militarily, ideologically and economically tried to influence the outcome that would suit them by Aid, grants, stationing of troops, forming of Alliances etc. In the process both sides ended up at times fighting it out through proxies Angola was one area. El Salvador, Nicaragua, and off course our little pond Afghanistan.

China too is doing this -- through soft loans, aid, offer of military hardware to lot of countries in Africa and Australasia. As their stakes rise and hunger for resources go up -- card dealing starts -- push to call the game emerges.

We too do this "meddling" in our little pond, Iran, India, Siri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan and even Burma and at times B.Desh. But we have not institutionalized this game and do not have longer term view -- we react and roll with the punches.

But my friend prudence demands that we play the cards that have been dealt to us to best of our ability till such time when, we, are in the position to deal the cards.(in the case of Super powers -- they try to jockey into a position where they deal the cards).

I dare not write that I know history but if u r interested in it do start from Plutarch, and Herodotus. It starts bringing things in perspective. This great game has been going on eons and will continue until man has gone from this Earth. We need to play to the best of our ability and gain an upper hand when ever we can -- make the most of it -- till such time when we design the game and set up the stakes.

Au Revoir!

I got your point. But I was talking about US meddling in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and gulf countries. Some how US always seems to be anti-muslims side. Major contribution I have seen using veto power to save Israel in UN.
Somehow Arundhati Roy the famous Indian author speaks about US meddling and India meddling in video below.
I too have same opinion about US.
