Pakistan developing two new cruise missiles, nuclear submarine: US Think Tank

Do we have Second strike capability now? considering this article is a year old.

I wonder how much money both India and Pakistan waste on weaponry they are never going to use? Or if they will its rest in peace for your nations... And its the common people who have to live in possible nuclear fallout, or go sleep hungry.

Cant you guys give up on niclear weapons? Those things are cancer, nothing more.

Why do you think after a nuclear war b/w Pakistan and india there will be any people left alive to see the after effects of nuclear war

Carrying nuclear warhead does make the submarine a nuclear submarine, for that you need nuclear propulsion.

Are you high? What relation a nuclear nuclear launch capability has with nuclear propulsion? Nuclear propulsion is solely for the purpose of long endurance underwater nothing more.

Well, this is how it is. An unstable neighbourhood and its disadvantages.

A report of United States based Think Tank which has been titled as ‘Pakistani nuclear forces 2015′ has claimed that Pakistan is developing two new cruise missiles, the ground-launched Babur (Hatf-7) and the air-launched Ra’ad (Hatf-8).
What kind of disclosure is that? Both missiles have been officially tested multiple times and their roles and specs are well known and publicly announced by ISPR.

Nuclear launch capability is the main point. Why waste on nuclear propulsion when we don't need extra ordinary mileage.

We don't need to go on long adventures.

For a credible 2nd strike capability, we need nuclear subs as those can remain submerged for much longer time and can travel farther and in deeper oceans to avoid detection. Though nuclear launch capability is immediately needed, nuclear subs (SSK and SSBN) are the ultimate weapons for 2nd strike capability.

nuclear powered subs are the most feared military equipment in the world.... a very strong deterrent capable of a very strong second strike capability. Pak needs few desperately..... Pak needs to make its own nuclear reactor/propulsion.

Can the other nuclear states give them up ? if so then can we !!!!!!!!!!!

.
Well, India Pakistan should stop these war games, Make Kashmir a free state and let the people live a better life on both sides, spend the weapons money on their masses.

All they have to do is read my article.

We don't need nuclear proplulsion submarine, We only need the type of Submarine that can deliver our CUTE NuclearBOMB to our pampered enemy successfully. :big_boss:

It is important to a have 2nd strike capability..... once a country destroys all your land with bombs and nukes what are you going to do? You need a nuclear powered Submarine with nukes on board.
Nuclear armed Pakistani submarines being INDIA CENTRIC do not need Nuclear propulsion.Too expencive and dangerous for showing off.
Pakistan should have had at least 1 nuclear powered Submarine with 20 Nuclear missiles with 60 warheads MIRV capability....

SLCM (Sub Marine Launched Cruise Missile) is the ultimate achievement for Pakistani Engineers , Also completes 2nd strike package

No!! Nuclear powered submarine with MIRV nuclear missile on board would be a better achievement...

Na maybe a small second strike ability.... but it's not credible.... for second strike we need ssbn and slbm.....
Why do you think after a nuclear war b/w Pakistan and india there will be any people left alive to see the after effects of nuclear war

Yes most of Pakistan will be destroyed and maybe a quarter of India will be destroyed..... Pakistan needs SSBN, SLBM, H-BOMBS, MIRV capable missile like 1 missile with 10 warheads mirv to hit the enemy easily.

What kind of disclosure is that? Both missiles have been officially tested multiple times and their roles and specs are well known and publicly announced by ISPR.

I am not evens sure if Pak has even started work on SSBN? It's very important every nuclear state apart from us has it.

Which one?

But this article does not add anything to knowledge of the members of this forum since we know about cruise missiles and a lot has already been discussed about Pakistan's nuclear program and second strike capability.
It seems outdated

Nice logic. US and Russia have reduced already their stockpiles, have Pakistan or India?

Why do you think after a nuclear war b/w Pakistan and india there will be any people left alive to see the after effects of nuclear war
Exactly, all because of few square kilometers of land...

Exactly, all because of few square kilometers of land...

Its perfect logic reducing doesn't mean they are all gone they still have thousands of them in their hands go talk to them first and then use realistic logic.
