People often bring up Altaf to show Britains dirty games. The truth is not so clear. If you can't clean your own house you have no right to complain about others. The question I would like to ask is simple. Leave UK. What exactly did Pakistan do against Altaf for decades?

The people of Karachi voted Altaf's MQM's into power again and again. Altaf remained the undisputed king of Karachi for decades. President Musharaf had Altaf's MQM forming part of the federal government. Karachi and Sindh were handed over to Altaf's MQM. This pattern persisted. So somebody tell me why would UK chop it's own testicles by making enemy of ruling party in the Pakistani establishment? The British are slightly more deft then Pakistan at international diplomacy.

However as Pakistan began to move against MQM you saw Altaf's space shrink in UK - we saw him being harassed by Met Police. I would like to see him try to do anything today and watch how fast UK reacts. The reason is Pakistan which was ambigious about Altaf [as he was Das Fuhrer to millions in Karachi and this forum] has today take a stance ahainst Altaf. This then has been reflected in UK.

Meaning if you can't sort out the mess in your own country don't expect outsiders to do it for you.

What @Indus Pakistan is saying is how a sane pure patriotic but neutral Britisher would think. And a lot many MPs think like that but deep states have their own agendas and invisible actors that control the country have their own agendas. MI6 will overrule any findings of the metropolitan police or Scotland yard if those go against its wested interests.

But if millions of people in Karachi and Sindh continued to vote for Altaf and listen to his stupid phone calls like as if he was their Adolf Hitler how could you expect UK to sort out this mess. If Pakistan state was appointing Altaf's party as partner in federal and Sindh governments why should UK wreck it's relationship with Pakistan by holding Altaf on account for the crimes his party was carrying out in Pakistan?

As long as Altaf had electoral support in Pakistan no foreign government was going to make a move. The same applies to Nawaz. If UK suspects Nawaz will be Prime Minister again in few years trust me London will do nothing against Nawaz. Lest they end up with a PM of Pakistan who has a grudge against UK. Who is UK to judge? If people in Karachi regard Altaf as their Das Fuhrer, people of Punjab regard Nawaz as Mard-e-Momin London will go along with them. It's plain self interest.

We need to ask the fcukfests in Pakistan who made Altaf's and Nawaz's their idols ......
