Update : a lot of activity around Parade ground can see number of tents gone up as well as number of personnel and guards also many trucks inside Parade ground

People are working on the models saw a model of Masjid or shrine but it's purple & white

Pakistan sets preparations for 23rd March parade 2018, like 2017 it is expected different friendly countries will also participate in the parade. Joint Military contingent of Chinese Tri-forces, Commandos of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Paratroopers from Jordan will participate in the parade. World-renowned Solo Turk F- 16 of Turkish Air Force and Turkish Military band will also participate in Pakistan Day Parade 2018

Srilankan president will attend. Jordanian band and UAE tri service contingent will parade.

Security perhaps? In the U.K even police officers attending high profile events need a specific pass called "accreditation"

There will be another rehearsal tomorrow on 21st. So Monal point will be a good vantage point if you have binoculars and zoom lens camera .

For the main event You have to apply via an army officer or contact ISPR before end of February. There are too many hopefuls so it's common not to get the pass.
Easier option is to go watch the rehearsal which is carbon copy of the 23 Rd March parade minus the dignitaries , so lesser background check for pass applicants. But same level of multilayered security.
Easiest option is to go sit on Monal point with binoculars and zoom lens and watch the air show . No pass needed .

True, personally I hate the massive text boxes that take up half the screen. One day PTV will get cameras that support 4K quality.

You Cant. And by the way Date getting passes passed atleast month ago or more.
