All are being upgrade to A 5 standard.

Those are Modernized A2s. Not yet converted to A5s.

Italian one is M109L. A5s were bought directly from the USA.

All A2s have been modernized to some extent already during rebuilds and overhauls, but not all have been converted to A5, Still in progress.


Al-Zarrar was removed from the parade because VT-4 was added. Al-Zarrars are not going anywhere for a few years now, in fact more are being produced (the remaining Type 59s are all being converted)
We can expect to see 1000~ Al-Zarrars remain in service as second line tanks with the army along side Type 85MP. AK/AK-1, T84 and VT-4 will be frontline. Type 59s will all be converted, Type 69s will continue with FC.
