What's new

PAKISTAN , CHINA , US , RUSSIA brought Taliban to power and helped them in Panjshir to threaten INDIA and IRAN

.
Now we don't want them to cross our red line and install a indian friendly proxy

But at the end of the day, for long term stability of Talib regime

Iran is needed, they'll have to make up with Iran

You look it or not but Iran can do stuff, maybe not take whole of Afghan but they can raise thier own proxies

So for the neighborhood Afghanistan they need to be in atleast nuetral to friendly terms with both Iran and Pakistan

In reality, Iran had its proxies Zainab Brigade and others were completely defeated in Herat and other Western areas of A-Stan. That is why these A-holes are screaming because they were defeated by Pakistan. Remember, Iran is the same incompetent country who got their General Solemani killed in Iraq , and whose nuclear scientists were killed by Israel in broad daylight on the streets of Iran.

.
a very undignified choice of this ex president to air his ridiculous thoughts on pakistan on Indian channel.

I don't know about specifics

but it simple, you cannot be a stable regime by antagonizing you big neighbor, in the long run it wont turn out right

Now I don't know why Iran is angry about Panjsheer- cause I mean they tried negotiating, I don't know what else were they expecting short of a military action

but if I am Taliban, I should be in constant conversation with Iran, in terms of what are they expecting what do they want?, like look at the long game, Iran is needed
look at the Taliban guys accent, I don't know man...
people thinking what I am thinking?

Not gonna happen. Iran has missed the boat, and there is no other boat available for a very long time.

Guys .. If Pakistan wants to be a player outside of her borders (which is the case with Afghanistan..and yes it was a good play) you must prepare yourselves for opposition from various sources . Any action has a reaction.. Part of the deal of playing the big games..so stop attacking Iran...attack the person ..Ahamadinejad is a private citizen he does not speak for the policy of Iran on Pakistan or Afghanistan....The policy makers of the six neighboring countries had meeting yesterday will have few more until matters are decided....

There was Afghan demonstration in front of Pakistan embassy...do you like Iran police to beat the shit out of them!!! ..if you Play the big games you should develop thick skin to tolerate opposition and also be prepared to share ...Iran has the second longest border with Afghanistan and yes they also have Interests there so if Pakistan sends forces into Afghanistan (I do not know if they do or not)..it does concern Iran if they do...

At the end..Afghans will do what is good for Afghans...They are not anyones proxy after defeating the US of A..they have things to teach to all the others how to win a war .

This is a political matter, not a religious one. Please refrain from making statements like 'Shia Iran'.

Also love the intellect of this guy, putting China, Russia, the US and Pakistan in the same bloc on this matter.
This is the former president though, not anyone official, otherwise I expect Iran would've been in hot water right now.

He's talking crap against the US as well. The only country who's interests line with Iran is India according to him.
"Taliban are primarily a threat against Iran and India but soon they will turn into a threat against Pakistan, China and Russia"
Strategical & diplomatic discussion must not be infected with Sectarian Bigotry, for a quality discussion. Please refrain from coining everything around sect. Such dilemma will isolate your minds from thinking out of the box or even about the real issues.

Regards,

respectfully , it is very naïve for both of you to assume religious angle is not there ...... tell me something , if taliban were shia , would Iran reacted the same way .... One of the many reasons why Iran is so hostile to Taliban is because of that fact that Talibs are sunni hardliners , just like Iranian Mullahs who won't take shit from them...

Good deflection tactics.

This is all co-ordinated. Your state propaganda channels are churning out anti pakistan statements.. We all know Iran is a religious theocracy where nothing happens without the state's approval. Pretty sure these protestors were given green light to do as they please.

Also , it is pretty rich of Iranian people to lecture us about proxies and interference.. We all know where-ever these iranian shias go , be it iraq , syria , lebanon , afghanistan and etc ... They create havoc and destruction for sunnis . I am glad there is someone in Afghanistan who won't take their shit and act as their proxies.

America did good by bombing your meddling general....

I don't think Pak wants to be a big player, we do not have the stomach for it nor is there an interest for it in power structure

But what Pak always wanted was a friendly Afghanistan that is not pro-India - throughout history it was very hard to find an Afghan who wont switch sides for a better deal - add in a historical tension of every Afghan leader wanting our Pashtun areas it created natural tensions

So what Pak wanted was not a puppet (despite what people here might suggest) but a regime that is friendly and wont go join India (who always wanted to open up a western front for proxies)

After multiple experiments of moderate islamist, secular, I think they dabbled with a communist too group in the end only Taliban fitted in to what we expected from Afghanistan- friendly and not pro-India add in being not a democracy as in democracy there's bound to be an anti-Pak rhetoric for wanting to ask for Pashtun areas ( we should do a referendum and put it to end tbh, we know there's wide support for Pak rule, so there's nothing to lose but hopefully it'll end the Afghan obsession of asking for people to join in when they do not want to join them)

Now people claim that Talibs are Pakistani puppets- they are not, if they were first thing Pakistan would ask them is stop being OTT ( they don't listen to Pak in their internal affairs), they are just one of the few Pak friendly groups - that doesn't make them puppets

- My issue is Panjsheer - as far as I know there was no military's support for Talibs in panjsheer (maybe some advisors but direct military support, there's no evidence all the footage we are seeing is turning out to be fake- as in they were never even in the arsenal of PAF)

but why is Iran angry over Talibs military action in Panjsheer, weren't they supposed to do that if they are claiming to be the central government?
So I am not seeing an issue here

Religion is merely a cover-up used by many countries around the world for advancing geo-political and economic interests. Such complex geopolitics and economics cannot be explained to the illiterate masses, thus requiring sentimental crap like sectarian divides. The religious angle is just there for the aesthetics, any educated take would not take them into account.

He’s only publicly confirmed what we all ready new about these two Iran India hindus in Afghanistan. this should give Pakistan a more impotence in more support for the Taliban. So to stop these two ever getting a foothold in that country again to spread there anti Pakistan
İmpetus.
İmpotence is when your wife is not "satisfied" with you.

Official iran is not angry...some individuals who can not see the whole picture may say things that is strictly their personal view..

Pangshire guys are influenced by zionist lobby there are photos of masude fellow talking with them..so situation of panjshir is complicated.

I see your point about Pakistan wanting friendly Afghanistan..makes lots of sense...that is all iran wants also.so I see no conflict ...I even say if Afghanistan is pro Pakistan it will be good for iran...we just do not want Israel or Saudi foot prints in Afghanistan...lol

Israel of course that's impossible

but with Saudi its complicated

In the 80s we did the ground work but saudis had a lot of influence in Pak-Afghan policy not only because of funding but our president of the time was islamist, ummah loving, shariah (using) guy so he purposely involved saudi

but this time around Pak's approach is much clearer

A- Its Pakistan first - no refugee, no BS plain simple national interests
B- there's almost no Arab involvement in Afghanistan except for maybe Qataris as Pakistan didn't invite/ask them to for anything in Afghanistan, everything was handled by Pak/Talib themselves
C- Make sure your neighborhood supports Taliban too, that's why the meetings to build a consensus around Taliban
D- Stability in Afghanistan as we have suffered a lot because of unstable Afghanistan, make sure this doesn't happen again

But the bigger problem is we cant dictate Talibs so if they end up doing dumb stuff, people will blame us
and if they do dumb stuff all this hard work goes to waste and countries just end up getting annoyed by them - resulting in proxies, unstable Afghanistan and the cycle rapeats again

this is the fear
