Pakistan carries out airstrikes along AfPak border

This is exactly one if the reasons US installed him and others, to fulfill their purpose of creating a war between the Taliban and Pakistan. Hence killing two birds with one stone.
Make no mistake there will be war if such attacks continue to take place.

One reason I like Shahbaz Sharif is due to his strange liking for creating anti-terrorist forces/squads. He was the brains behind Dolphin Force and its setup in Pakistan.

Give credit where it's due. Also, the military needs to get its shit together. We have discussed the Mrap/Apc aspect to death these are lifesavers military needs to realise the concept of living FFS.

US was fighting as an occupation force against guerilla fighters which are notoriously difficult. If the point comes in Pak-IEA relations where there is full on battle the IEA will need to cross through the international border which they are not capable of as they do not have missiles, proper attack choppers, fighter jets, drones, good artillery like SH-15, etc. Can we please not hype up the IEA as "afghanistan graveyard of empires, undefeated freedom fighters ", they can not fight efficiently and for long against a conventional military like Pakistan or Iran. We can have drones and f-16s circling kabul as soon as they cross the border. Assuming we use drones properly like the TB-2 we can destroy all their artillery, bases, and convoys along the border.

The only way IEA will fight is to constantly recruit more people and send them in waves to the border which will be a hassle to control but regardless they won't make a dent into our territory
This is extreme ignorance.

Attacks need to be stopped by diplomatic means, military option should be a last resort.

Possibly, military was the one who stopped Imran Khan from giving all Afghan refugees citizenship.
Most of those have never been to afgahisntan and some children fathers havent been to afgahnistan either
Many of them dont even speak afghani or know the language

Not saying give them nationality but keep this fact in the mind..
You cant kick them out..
They are just a security risk and economic burden because you refuse to accept them

IMO,
if they are ready to give up any claim on afghani nationality they should be given nationality(only those who were born here i.e are less then 40 years old)

This will makw your econony grow and solve a big secuirity risk

If US could not bring them to submission in two decades and by spending trillions of dollars, do you think we can?
That's the real question.
Secondly, what we know about TTP is that they were being controlled by US/indians. Now that Pakistan has pro-american and india appeasing govt in place, what are the motivations of TTP conducting ambushes?
People talking about IEA's lack of conventional war capabilities against Pakistan, must keep their unconventional fighting capabilities in calculations, with Pakistan definitely not having the edge of geography, americans always had.
May Allah ji protect the innocents.

Problem is military lack of providing drone coverage and MRAP

Our generals need to go on an internship to turkey, britain and even america to learn how to protect your men

Turkey develoed its MRAPs and drones..
The whole program will cost less a billion $, each Mrap will cost less brass BMWs

Geography plays a role maybe? And jets can hit destroy more in an area rather than a drone?

But Pakistan has used drones against BLA terrorists. So this also gets me confused.
They are more TTP terrorists than BLA/BLF/UBA/BRAS/BRA/WTF terrorists. Also as we know, balochistans topography doesnt really suit airstrikes via aircraft. Its not economical to have a fighter jet loiter over Balochistan waiting for terrorists compared to a drone.

Afghanistan its a different ball game. I take it (if this news is true) that TTP bases/strongholds (away from civillians) have been found and hit hard

Economy grow? Maybe

Solve a security risk? Probably not

There are people born in foreign countries with nearly zero links to their origin country but their loyalty lies with the country of origin...

Why don't some people understand Pakistan was living peace fully with Taliban controlled Afghanistan before the US war on terror in which we lost 80,000 people, we can avoid another more destructive war by understanding the enemy's plan.

There should be a thread on Afghanistan-Pakistan historical relations since our independence

But I don't think we've been living peacefully, they refused to recognise Pakistan, and have also been aiding terrorists and separatist groups since then

Yes there were problems between Pakistan and Afghanistan before Taliban came into power and also after they were ousted, the Taliban era was the most peaceful era between Pakistan and Afghanistan with no hostilities what so ever.

Ever since these animals have come to power last year there has been increase in attacks. TTP has grown more stronger there and they refuse to hand them over to us.

Significant risk of radicalizing our youth further over this taliban shit. Dont care much about them. Snake is a snake. We have seen out come of supporting snakes like these in 80s and it backfired.

There were more TTP attacks happening before the Taliban came into power. We must engage diplomatically and achieve our goals.

Good idea. He is a Taliban sympathizer. He will not give up until he makes you agree with him, or die tryin'
I hope you will be the one on the front line fighting if there is a war between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Are you people gone insane, why should there be a war when things can be solved peacefully.

Who will be the Victor in a war between Pakistan and Afghanistan? let me tell you, TTP and all our enemies.
