Pakistan cannot succeed whilst people in power have overseas connections

.
Every country succeeds if its judicial system is fair, powerful, and capable to provide justice. If someone grabbed your land in any country, what will be your strategy to get justice? definitely consult with the judiciary/law of that respective country. Now a country where the CRIMINAL judiciary actually null-void its own SC judge case because he and his criminal wife FAILED to provide a money trail, what you're expecting from that country?

Sorry to say but Pakistan is a criminal state in reality. From military to judiciary to Govt, everyone is a MAFIA. "Might is Right" is an established law!

When the Germans were bombing London, Prime Minister Winston Churchill was briefed on the casualties and economic collapse. He asked, “Are the courts functioning?” When told that the judges were dispensing justice as normal, Churchill replied, “Thank God. If the courts are working, nothing can go wrong.”

Pakistanis must understand one thing, corruption is everywhere including in the west. The Judicial system of any country is the last lifeline of the state. If your judicial system is corrupt like Pakistan, you never succeed. It doesn't matter your children's sibling living abroad or in Pakistan.

.
I believe for Pakistan to be successful it should be a requirement that every single politician, military officer, judge, and bureaucrat cannot have any parents, siblings, or children who live or study abroad. The same should be true of their wives. They should also not have a single rupee of money invested abroad.

Only then can we have a government that will function for Pakistan. Currently these people all have Plan B's - they don't need Pakistan to be a success. The politicians are quite a clear example, but look at Justice Easa, or Bajwa and the Papa John accusations. It might not be there money, but they have deep links abroad, safety nets which mean they don't need Pakistan to be a success.

I honestly don't think it's possible for this to happen. Everyone who is anyone has links abroad.

We need to follow Islam properly with understanding ... not the just the cosmetic bits.

that is our solution..

.
The notion that people (Pakistanis) from abroad or those with connections from abroad somehow weaken us is lazy thinking. Entire nations that are bastions like Israel, the US (with its huge immigration systems) are countries that have figured out that their very strength lies in these so called foreign connections. It is not the foreign connections that weaken the nation, but the countries own legal weakness and corruption. I can assure you that we have as many mir jaffers within as we have without, with or without foreign connections. IF we find a way to harness the potential of foreign Pakistanis we could transform our nation. Our best minds and most accomplished Pakistani resources are sitting outside of the country. Getting them to be invested within Pakistan mind and money is the way to transform our nation. Or else you'll have Jahalia running us into the ground.

I disagree. The problem is they rob the country and then run abroad. You can't stop them running abroad. If they have the money doors oipen.

Rather I think the greatest project of nation building is having compulsory military service. Every young mand and girl between ages 17-18 should serve one year in national service. 12 months are given to the state. This applies to every person unless disability or medical condition.

These units of National Service should be used on cleaning, teaching, building, law enforcement, civic works etc. National service builds nations. It teaches the yung discipline, loyalty, order and by mixing with other citizens a national bonding takes place.

If you can find me one developed country that has not used national service I wil surprised. You name them. All developed countries have had comprehensive national service. Turkey still does. So does Israel.

Mashallah. Genius here has it figured.

You need to learn to separate corruption and linkage. Issue is not where they originate from or where their relatives live but the corruption they are imbibed in.

Expertise lives abroad and you will realise its worth in time. How about try to become better people? Its a simple solution.

.
Easy to decry the state or its rulers but Pakistanis forget that they themselves vote for these rulers.

Just recently in Daska over a lakh people stepped out of their houses in the middle of a pandemic and voted for looter plunderer Nawaz Sharif.

On top of that how many Pakistanis practice self morality? If it's 2am on a secluded street and a red light, how many Pakistanis will stop on it and wait for it to turn green? These same Pakistanis in the west cannot dare break the red light because they know the might of the law will fall on their head. In Pakistan they are doing it in the middle of the freaking day!

These corrupt rulers aren't some aliens they are an example of what an average Pakistani is like. Pick hundred random blokes from around Pakistan and make them each PM for a month, they all will loot and plunder as much as Nawaz and Zardari.

The restriction should be regarding investments/property/stashed money.

Studying abroad or having a child abroad is tricky. Our entire atomic program was made possible because of people who had spent a decent amount of time abroad learning what was required. If it wasn't for these men --- many of whom had PhDs from the top universities in the West --- we would not be a nuclear power today.

Back then, it was about availing the best opportunities and training possible to one day be able to apply it to one's own country. Today's clowns are, as you pointed out, using the West option as a Plan B / safety net.

I believe nobody in power should be able to have any investment/property/bank account abroad. All foreign trainings/exchanges, etc., should also occur in regional countries like China and Iran. Some Russian exposure wouldn't hurt either. We send our top military officers to the US and UK military academies. Those appointments are breeding grounds for asset cultivation.

Every single institution here is a mafia and its officers first and foremost try to protect the institution's interests, then individual interests and then --- if there is any time and energy left --- do something marginal for the country. The Army is the biggest mafia. Due to its power, size and influence, it simply cannot be held accountable by any other institution. On the other hand, the other institutions have also proven themselves to be pathetic and incapable of holding the Army to account.

What was the half-assed move CJP Khosa pulled during Bajwa's extension circus? Either disallow it or allow it. Why would you give parliament time to create legislation that would further degrade and destroy the sanctity of the institution by allowing extensions? All weak civilian rulers fall into this trap. And what a COAS who refuses to step down despite such huge controversy and a strikedown by the SC --- late night helicopter-borne huddles at the PMO like schoolchildren scheming against a teacher. It was downright embarrassing.

Exactly. I know overseas Pakistanis doing much more work for Pakistan than several generals, judges, bureaucrats and politicians combined.

These "Afsar Shahi" kharche has ruined the whole country, recently Rs.100 millions are allotted to buy 7 Revo's for each of the 7 AC's in District Swat

.
The upper-classes of Pakistan do not seem to worry about the country’s economic problems because they don't have to. They have prepared for such a contingency long ago. They have their wealth in dollars, if not gold. They have relatives overseas who invest their money. And if things really get bad, they have visas or dual nationality as an exit strategy.

Lol bro.

I am a government servant in sindh and the amount of govt officials whose families and children have foreign nationalities is mind boggling ...

Charm of west is very strong. Most of our people are sell outs... At least the people who are in ruling class.

Sadly if Winston was alive now he'd pretty much direct the Germans to bomb the courts first.

There are still powers in the system that want Shehbaz to go to London and in fact all Sharif family. They know too well that sending them abroad will bring more misery to Pakistan in future as it has been proved in the past.

The argument put forth is that sending them abroad will bring calm. These idiots dont understand that cunning Sharifs gain time by this and come back into the rotten system again through machinations. The only solution is to send these thieves to jail for stealing public wealth. No matter how tough Imran is, if these thieves get a relief, all the supposed good work will go to waste. Pakistan has to turn corner with no Sharif in sight ever again.

Remember when Musharraf sent Sharif to Jeddah, the same argument was made? Musharraf did well and improved the economy but as soon as these thieves came back, it was back to ruins and even worse.
