and what about army???????????????hamain khayal shoruh say he tha but our selfish leaders are filling their pockets with the blood money of our nation.
Btw $$$ can not change my mind or our mind but the mind of our politicians
nato is not stressed to a level of unbearable extent regarding the supplies. military hardware and other goods are being transited to afghanistan via air by using big cargo planes using pakistani airspace. the only problem is oil which is of a some importance to be reckon with but it isn't like that nato is going to succumb to pakistan pressure or something. the story is pakistan has played her cards now we have to see how mutual relations between pakistan and america are going to take shapeThe blockade is having a serious effect on Nato and the US.
The only route left is through central Asia. The US military is now preparing to shift more traffic along the roads, rail and air routes that run between the Baltic Sea and Afghanistan via the Caucasus and Central Asia - the so-called Northern Distribution Network.
The leaders in Krygyzstan are wanting to close the base near their capital as they are worried - just in case Iran and USA get excited and the result of this being Manas being bombed by Iran.
Islamabad need to remain adamant and strong at this junction. It is a game of patience - The USA need to realize by killing innocent soldiers to this extent Pakistan will no longer bend over backwards to assist with their WOT.
Why cant they wait till their infamous "official statement"? - then we can all make decisions when they release "their side of the story"?
i think army has learned a good lesson but if they repeat the same Mantra then there will be a coup in Army by low ranksand what about army???????????????
can they capitulate before $$$ when they glitter????????
because 10 years ago armymen were at helms in islamabad not politicians
its really unjust to just malign politicians and at the same time exonerating the army completely

The bewildered Americans are making false statements, which have been denied by PA through a press release.
Press Release
No PR298/2011-ISPR Dated: December 14, 2011
Rawalpindi - December 14, 2011:
During telephonic conversation between General Jhon Allen and General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on 12 December 2011, the issue of reopening up of NATO supply route never came under discussion as has been highlighted in the statements of Commander ISAF.
It would be appreciated that unnecessary speculation in this regard is avoided.

From CSM, part of a larger report on potential domestic Pakistani pressure to have the supply route opened:The blockade is having a serious effect on Nato and the US.

From CSM, part of a larger report on potential domestic Pakistani pressure to have the supply route opened:
"According to Rajpur, the shipping official, the current impasse appears to be having an acute effect on NATO despite the fact that it has steadily decreased its dependence on Pakistan since opening a northern supply route. That route, known as the Northern Distribution Network (NDN), has been hit with freezing weather in Central Asia recently. “Instead of the NDN they are shipping essential supplies like gasoline and water via air.”

The routes should remain shut till a satisfactory outcome of the crisis is achieved. No amount of blackmail from any quarter , direct or indirect should be entertained. PA could bring the stuff over and store it in a compound and charge the US damarrage for it.We need to hold on to our nerves on this one.
