Pakistan Army tests Nasr, chief Bajwa says missile puts cold water on India's Cold Start

There are a lot of dhotis being soiled today. Some fear the end of cold start and wet themselves, others are ecstatic about some theoretical supremacy for the bangers proven by this missile test and wet themselves with glee.

The reality is nasr is a weapon that raises the threshold of war. The Indian army knows it will face devastation if they start any aggression. It acts as a deterrent against the threat of a short sharp war.

India cannot respond to tactical nuclear strikes with strategic level strikes against Pakistani cities unless it wants an equal response. Meanwhile tactical use of mini nukes will be considered fair game.

As for perceived conventional strength, counting numbers is child's play. You have to look at military objectives. India can no longer deny Pakistan access to the sea because we have a submarine fleet, we have cruise missiles with sub based, ship based and air launched variants, we have air launched anti ship missiles and anti radiation weapons. Your navies main objective has failed.

You claim an advantage in the air but Pakistan is not in the business of occupying Indian airspace, just denying iaf access to Pakistan. We have awacs, sams and 4th generation fighters with bvr capabilities to deny iaf access to Pakistani airspace. Furthermore we have cruise missiles and other weapons systems to help us target iaf forward operating bases.

As for your army... Lol we've just defeated an enemy NATO couldn't defeat. Our soldiers have battlefield experience, we have top class equipment and our army and airforce operate in tandem (unlike some other conflicts). You are dreaming if you think more tanks make q difference there. The T90 is the only decent machine you have. Your t72 is antiquated (we upgraded ours) and the arjunk is too heavy for desert warfare.

War is not a game, in the next Pakistan India conflict the winner will be the neighbouring nations who will repopulate the nuclear wasteland in a 150-200 years time.

Any attack on Indian Armed Forces anywhere in the world with Biological / Nuclear weapons, be it tactical or testical will result in comprehensive retaliation to annihilate the enemy country. This has been clarified many times. Please google.

Your govt knows this very well. Will you post INDIAN clarification , will use the tactical weapons and end up being annihilated ? Think about it. NASR use will be an excuse for us and NASR use will be best thing for India.

You don't have the bollocks to even consider the aftermath. We have full second strike capacity.

What was the combine response of USA & Europe when Russia Introduced Operational Maneuver Group Strategy despite all the "CONVENTIONAL" resources they had .....??

What was last response expected from USSR in case of USN massive assault??

Let's make one thing clear, the world is vary of usage of Nukes in any scenario, whether its strategic or tactical. The red line for that is a hairline.

The first country to fire nukes will be punished heavily with sanctions and political isolation. Whatever happens next will be a consequence that needs to be thought through very carefully.

Pakistan does not have the mettle to use the Nasr. because once used, even china will not be able to save their *** from political isolation. So the fanboys lobbing nasrs like they're in a game of cornhole need to understand that this is a "last resort" weapon. If you have to use it, you've already lost the war!

Give that some thought!

Google why CSD operations can not be implemented. Because it may start a chain reaction which would lead to MAD.

I am sharing an example which will help. U don't go to war with Pigs..even though u are many times stronger than a pig ...No matter how much mess it creates. There are other ways to handle Pigs ..Pigs may dream for a fight but the same may get denied...
Well . pigs are easily hunted down. Only people who are extremely sacred dont do anything to a pig. I mean if its lion than i understand even if u r stronger than lion yoy dont want to take the risk

First of all that is correct. Theoretically first use is a death sentence.

But you are then bound to assume that first use would be tactical and pressure tactic to force a surrender. Like the good old bulls eye.

One must argue yes if you manage to isolate a country enough to create and weaken it institutionally and take advantage of the chaos or a civil war or some sort of genocide or something the world can shrug off the next day because Arsenal won the champions league or lady gaga marries the orange dude.

Nasr's induction is just a PR stunt when we talk strategy.

Pakistan's nuclear strategy is Undeclared to say the very least. Deterrence Cold Start Hot Start All Out. Anything can happen in theory and in numbers.

Wish peace and prepare for war. That's Pakistan.

India prepared for peace is wishing for war.

That's a very delicate balance my dear friend.

In naval forces, armour and air force it is overwhelming.
Pakistan Army has only 2050 tanks in service.
From 1975 onwards it acquired 825 Type 59, Type-59s bought prior to that are too old.
It also acquired in the same period 300 Type-69, 285 Type-85, 330 MBT-2000, 320 T-80.

Pakistan has only 165 4th gen jets whereas India has 395 4th gen jets.

And I do not even need to bring in the naval disparity.

On Kashmir LoC, Pakistan Army has only 108,000 personnel under X corps, whereas India's XV & XVI corps have a combined strength of 220,000.
Wrong
Pakistan has more artillery guns and more modern than india. Infact india has no self propelled art guns!!!!!!!!
Tanks pakistan inducted approx 1000 modern tanks (t85,alkhalid) and did a comphrensive upgrade to 500+ tanks to t80 standard(al zarrar)

When it comes to airforce PAF has completed 100 thunders and has 77 f 16 so its badically 2.2 to 1 in numbers assuming india will mobilize its low serviceability su 30 and find eniugh pilots (last india def minsitry report mentions IAF has 0.8 to 1 pilot ratio vs 2.5 to 1).

In navy India do have overwhelming strength of 25+ frigates/destroyets vs around 8 but in sub department its lacking with 5 sub against 10ish with no AIP. The scorpions are still just under trial

In Short war with Pakistan is going to be to destructive for india
China out numbers india more than what india does in pakistan case. But china will nit go to war with india

Nasr missile range was extended by 10 km; 60 to 70 km, that is all.. So what the fuss about?

Only a rabid animal will not be able to distinguish between man and beast.
I also have an example,... Cows seldom fight back, they are usually milked by others or end up as dinner in the form of juicy steaks.

The timing is a point of interest!!! I am pretty sure it's nothing to do with the Chinese-Indian standoff at the most strategic locations!!!!! And, it mustn't be related to OBOR vs anti-OBOR camps the world is finding itself!!!! Even the western world is getting divided along this line!!! Not to mention that the USA is finding herself in a dilemma - with Globalist states like New York, California etc. vs isolationists ones like Alabama, Kansas etc.!!!! And, the divide is getting irreconcilable day by day!!!!

There was a well made PC game in 2009 named Fallout 3, where the player could dish out miniature nukes one after the other to take out mutated creatures roaming a post apocalyptic nuclear wasteland. The players were handed that weapon late in the game, almost towards the end. Mind you,as the name suggests, the entire game was set in a country laid to waste by nuclear warfare.

The collorary must be clear by now, use of nuclear weapons be it conventional or tactical spells doom for the subcontinent,it would be the endgame, just as in the videogame. Don't let Nasr fool you, it is no answer to COLD START or whatever you think the Indian Army believes in.

It's a brilliant answer and a great equaliser to the billions upon billions india has spent on it's conventional weapons. It has been completely nullified. It's the same reason why india was too weak & powerless to attack Pakistan after mumbai 2008 and Uri 2016 despite being more than 7x bigger than us and having abundant access to the world's most advanced weapons systems whilst we are denied this privilege.
