RAWALPINDI: Pakistani troops on Tuesday rescued an Afghan soldier who got severely injured in exchange of fire with terrorists near Bajaur Agency.
According to an ISPR statement, Afghan authorities requested for evacuation and treatment of the injured soldier opposite Bajaur Agency, 600 meters inside the Afghan territory.

Pakistani troops quickly responded to the request and shifted the injured soldier to Hospital in Khar area of Bajaur.
At least 2,763 militants have been
killed in Operation Zarb-e-Azb, a military offensive launched against militants in North Waziristan a year ago.
