  • Scales down training drills and exercises to cantonments in small scale
  • To employ remote working for conferences
  • Use of local currency in purchase of military equipment
  • Returns Rs6 billion, which was allocated for Covid, to government
  • Returns Rs3.5 billion to national exchequer from its fund that was allocated last year
  • Defence budget is 16% of annual budget
  • Rs935 billion added to national kitty over the last five years in direct, indirect, and duties by army and defence bodies

These cosmetic measures aren’t the solution but mr Bajwa knows everything and he won’t undo the mistake he has done. How on earth can this Gov sustain who has no majority in Parliament only with the help of neutrals

Man we need a complete reform of our military leadership. Generals must be loyal to Pakistan and only Pakistan...

Stop foreign staff courses. Invite them here instead. ISI should closely monitor all officers who go abroad for study. No official should be allowed to leave Pakistan, 10 years after retirement.

I dont know why Panzerkiel doesn't clear stuff to you guys, maybe he is fed up of childish behaviour.

The concept of dry day in military has been for very long. In many cantonments, there are days nominated for dry days. MP is standing on roads that day and checking military vehicles. The dry day is usually on a holiday or weekend, like Saturday. Staff cars are excepted in most cases, other military vehicles in cantt need to have proper paper work to come on road on dry day.

Dry day is a common thing in Military, its not new.

Stop going full retard in every thread related to military, please.
They should most definitely do that but not advertise it; the Army is NOT a political party.

Another 5th generation warfare by generals on their own public.

They are just pacifying the public against the onslaught they’ve faced since April.

I mean they have snatched the right to live from poor people. Jab woh gurbat ka khatma kehta tha what they actually meant was to kill all the poor or poor people take their own life when they don’t have anything to feed their kids

You brought this upon yourself. As a national security institute, how did you not know that facilitating thieves into power and running the country aground economically, our security will be at a very high risk.

You keep telling us 'sovereignty'. How are we more secure when we are bankrupt?

It just shows you are not sincere to this country.

Why if civilians have rights to go out and get jobs then how you can impose restrictions on military personnel. People who are ready to sell their honor shall do same in any circumstances. We should have social reforms in our country we need to work on national harmony, self sacrifice and positive thinking. Instead of teaching children to show false pride and to use every illegal way to get success. From rich to poor every person is responsible for our country current situation.

I can bet from my personal knowledge that our top tier business community has billions of dollars in Swiz banks and in channel Islands then why sir we blame only politicians and military. Govt should start transparent checking of industrialists who made billions after COVID in case of sportswear and textiles. Yet they are crying like babies, their workers got shit and country got no benefits of growth what so ever.

Allowance of Km and Liters. This differs from posts and departments/directorate, e.g. senior commands have more allowance, similarly Intel agencies have more allowance and vehicles. Different allowance for staff car, broad arrow unmarked vehicle, green plate and military vehicle. Units and HQs have different allowances. Under these, the vehicle can be used for official and personal use. Some commanders dislike personal use so officers under them do the same, while other allow it as per regulations. Some vehicles have restrictions from leaving cantonment, some have restrictions leaving the stations, where as others are free to roam the country, depends upon nature of post and directorate. Military vehicle can also be hired on payment.

For staff car, an indent is made and sent to GHQ for use outside station. Some have more than one staff cars. Some have marked staff cars/SUV with formation signs, other have unmarked with star plate. Some have both. Others have green number plate ones also. And the fourth category has civilian cars/SUVs with civilian number plates.

Use of military vehicles have decided promotions of officers also, there was a GOC 17 infantry Division. His daughter was studying in Lahore, the staff car took her to Lahore. At night the car got stolen outside a restaurant. The driver said the daughter took it with her friends. Posting came for GOC to GHQ and then retirement.

Those who make money through contracts/forging/passing information don't survive long. FIU, CMI etc are for for this purpose.

Let's agree to disagree, but hint hint...previous Chairman NDMA, IG FC's (multiple), oh and also...kabhi aap ka Chakri (Neela Dulla) in particular jana hua hai? :P Orrrr....a certain ex-CJCSC's house in the IB society?

Now example of civil green plate use in Govt department. Petrol allowance is being sold under market rate. Did you know that Government employees get petrol and un-used is sold to anyone through contacts on lesser rate ?

Government departments are a whole other mess. The allowance for a grade 20 officer is 80 liters, and I have seen some who have used more than ten times the amount, in a week! Oh, and not only on green number cars.

But I also know some who don't use the official for any purpose other than going and coming from office, neither do they take their fuel allowance. BUT, the fuel allowance that they don't take is then either redistributed among the department, or taken under a false head of the same officer and sold.

Comparing govt departments to fauj is like comparing me to Arnold Schwarzenegger! The army as a whole is definitely much better than the civilian setup and does have a system of checks which do broadly keep people in line.

But let's not give a blanket cheque to the military either, they have their fair share of 'problems'. But I guess that is to be expected, after all they don't come from Mars!
