Why again went to U.N? and by the way india pak resumed firing but pakistan played a trick. They choosen only few area because that way pakistan can stand against india bit longer as not much ammo would be used. Pakistan into economic firing? India should make them fire at all areas. That will drain them faster.... Also do tell us why pakistan running to U.N? fight like men. No one there to help you....

No, its neither flawed nor bogus. The UN resolution on Kashmir was not binding on any party. Resolution had interalia two things - 1. Plebiscite in entire J&K and 2. Pakistan army to vacate Occupied Kashmir to enable the plebiscite. So the first step was to vacate the Azad Kashmir by Pak Army but since the resolution was not binding, UN could not force Pakistan Army to withdraw from Azad Kashmir. Since first criterion was not fulfilled, the question of Plebiscite never came up. So Pakistan is to be blamed for failure of UN resolution on Kashmir.

Secondly, since UN resolution had lost relevance, both India and Pakistan agreed to leave the UN behind and settle the issue bilaterally and signed an agreement 24 years after the UN Resolution known as Simla Agreement of 1972. These are undisputed, hard historical facts. The same agreement converted the Cease Fire Line into Line of Control and both nations agreed to not resort to firing at each other as it happens on international borders.

Shimla Accord happened between two parties, i.e. India and Pakistan and both agreed that to resolve the matter bilaterally. So Pakistan is also a member and agreed party to it. So when you agreed to it, then stay to it and discuss on that basis. Otherwise you will loose your face in the world by not respecting a signed treaty.
