Pakistan exists and is here to stay.

Get over it.
Or get therapy.

bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

See, how speechless!

Lol.

Turn around and bring some hard facts to make my day - or your (for that matter)...

'Ranjeet Singh's rise led to creation of Pakistan'

CHANDIGARH: Maharaja Ranjeet Singh's rise was one of the factors for creation of Pakistan, which was a product of Muslims' fear after the fall of Mughal Empire. This was disclosed here on Sunday by the author of the recently released book, 'Tinderbox: The Past and Future of Pakistan', MJ Akbar, while talking to the intelligentsia of the city, which he rates high in intellectual circles.

Akbar quoted a Taliban commander saying, 'Jihad is not very recent, we have been fighting for 200 years', indicating the regime of Ranjeet Singh that stretched up to Afghanistan.

Pakistan was a product of the fear of Muslims, who could not forget the glory of Mughals and 500 years of their rule over India. The author said due to the accommodative culture of Punjab, which had Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims, the Muslim League had to taste defeat, but the same region became the bloodiest place when Pakistan's founder Mohmmed Ali Jinnah exploited these fears.

Akbar said his book quotes letters of Jinnah to Muslim clerics of Punjab expressing fear for community, which earlier gave just 10% votes in the 1936 election and supported a pro-peasant and secular Unionist party with 101 seats out of a total of 175 seats in the Punjab assembly. The Muslim League won just two seats and Akalis won only 10 seats. Akbar accepted the role of the Unionist Party when an IAS officer HIS Garewal pointed it out showing a gazette notification of the election. The author said Mahatma Gandhi was so sure of Punjab's cultural harmony that he chose to stay put in East Bengal to stop any communal flare up. Because of his influence there was no communal violence in the region in the East. Gandhi miscalculated the scene in Punjab, vitiated after Jinnah turned communal from secular, when he rejected a separate vote for Muslims in 1936 polls.

'Creation of Pakistan was the most stupid decision a section of Muslims could have taken for even the growth of the community,' he said. He explained that due to fear factor, Pakistanis behave in the manner they do at the negotiations with India. ...

When asked how to deal with Pakistan, he said there was no answer to this. 'One of the lessons that we can learn from this is how America dealt with the Communist Soviet Union, they economically isolated USSR for the Left ideology to die its own death. We can leave Pakistan in the same state, but as we share borders, this option may not be viable,' he remarked.

@Ejaz: an Indian will be the last person to advice us what we should do or not. specially Indian Muslims because they failed to formulate any vision for struggle for their own rights and fighting with the conditions they are facing in India.

This has nothing to do with advice to Pakistanis. I'm just stating what oppositiong to the Two Nation Theory means. Its not negation of the existence of the state of Pakistan. Only a negation of the Two Nation Theory premise. Besides, one third of muslims (and more in the future) live as minorities in Non-muslim countries. Hence the vision and ideals articulated by Muslim leaders like Maulana Azad, Bacha Khan, Maulana Madani and many others who opposed the Two Nation theory is very relevant to the lives of muslims living in US, Europe and other places where they are in minorities and infact are being looked at as inspirations.

And its to early to decide who failed to formulate a vision for progressive growth in which country. But time will certainly clarify that.

And we tell mr Akbar to go to hell.

MJ Akbar another inferiority complex ridden indian, I am eternally grateful for my elders for achieving Pakistan, we never have, and never were indians.

lol, an indian, but i cant be much angry because our own people say these things like pervez hudbhoy and altaf hussain

The problem with most of these so called experts and alot of people is, that they dont know the conditions and state of the people back then, how much of grit and determination it took to build Pakistan. They dont have an idea of the sacrifices that were made for the creation of the homeland. And unsurprisingly, most of them are living abroad, they dont have any idea of the sacrifices made by the people, and neither do i have any idea, nor do you people, nor the fools sitting at the high offices eating this country away. If anybody had an idea of the blood shed for the cause, they would have dedicated alot of resources and time for building this country.

no end to hatred for PAKistan and PAKISTANIS in the hearts of Indians... perhaps thats the only thing keeping 20 nations together in India.

P.S this is not my statement, this is a statement of a very famous person...so avoid batamiziyaaan..... :P

Fully agree, the only thing keeping india together, is her hate for Pakistan.

now indians say that why pakistanis hate india, 1971 was not just because india wanted to 'free bengalis' as what indians say, it was pakistani hatred, and still congressi hatred in present in indians, it will never change

wht MJ akbar said is his opinion. just like everyone have. For Indian it is not worth give a damn. since we have no business with this. For any educated Pak. member, this article is not worth to read as they have no other option but to love wht ever they have and live with it.
