Like Indian Govt and Media tried its best to take World cup out of Pakistan, Then we know how media played in recent cricket events....And Pakistan criticized western to be over reacting on CWG.

We supported India for UN seat....But i dont think we'll get teh same response in return.

Pls stop blaming for everything, those not even related. I think India will most probably vote for Pakistan as Pakistan voted for India but one or two votes doesn't a big difference.

1) Indian govt and media have done nothing to take WC out of Pakistan. All country of ICC decided it. No one even accused India FOR THAT.

2) Not western mainly Australian and NZ. European and Canadian media was more silent than Indian media itself.

3) As for Pakistan's vote, its a good sign but as I said doesn't a big deal. India got 187 votes out of 191.

I dont Think Pakistan Will Win For UNSC Bid . Voting of 2/3rd Countries is Required for Win It will be very Difficult for Pakistan to Win

And Also There are Many Other Deserving Countries which wud be in the Fray for Bidding

anyway if Canada was ditched by close friends then i dont see India at all voting for Pakistan even if we had voted for India.

In an Indo Pak context, it takes only one non state actor to change the dynamics.

Pakistan coming to the Security council is not going to hurt as specifically at a time when we ourselves r in security council,so i dont think their is any reason thet we will not vote for Pakistan

The 'logic' won't work since one is permanent member with Veto powers and Pakistan's argument has always been that if one day UN magically decides to force a resolution that it would force India to accept its plebiscite demand, then India can just veto it.

This logic of your's is correct however if we look pratically this is a non-issue...It has been 63 years and yet UN has not forced a resolution for India to accept its plebiscite demand...In fact they are plane and clear, we will intervene only if both parties want and we all know what India feels about any third party interventiona...With india's rising stature i hardly see a logical reason that UN will do what you are thinking...Secondly the way you have China the same way we have russia to veto such a move if at all this happens...

So yes theoratically what you are saying is correct pratically as explained above it is a non-issue...

Truth is everyone gets a chance to become UNSC. India and Pak both have had 12 years, and the world just balances it out. Now India's tally would reach 14, so it would be Pakistan's turn.

Sometimes i wonder why is it so difficult for you to post without the usual bias??? Everyone works for their own national interest....The way Canada do not support Indian bid for permanent member is not a diching the same way reciprocal is also true...Portugal supports our permanent member aspiration where as Canada don't.....

Pakistan supported our membership not because they have a new found love for India, the logic is simple, even they had opposed, it would not have made any difference, so better vote for India and expect the same.....
