What's new

Pak officials, politicians, businessmen held accounts in Switzerland

.
I'm quite enjoying the mental gymnastics, whataboutery and flimsy excuses.
I wouldn't have expected anything less.
The narrative is falling apart. The center cannot hold.

I hope you get the reference.

In any case, in a nation like Pakistan, why would generals be any different from politicians, judges, bureaucrats? There is hardly any accountability. We've been scapegoating politicians, but forget that its only them who can be made actually accountable in a functioning democratic system. I now have a knee-jerk reaction to criticism of politicians, in opposite direction of what is often intended. I know what they are, but it is a sleight of hand to blame them only.

Something I never understand is the motivation for ordinary people to defend corrupt elites. These elites don't give a flying fig for the ordinary people yet the same ordinary people continue to worship and defend them, not recognising that they are the ones who are ultimately being robbed.
Until we learn to do the right thing, which is to put principle above loyalty and expediency, and condemn all corrupts and wrongdoers regardless of affiliation, things will not improve.

When pretty much everyone is corrupt, what do you do? You place your trust in the system & let it work. USA was a pretty corrupt place in 1880s. In a few decades it was decidedly less so.

In any case, I am not going to go out on a limb here to defend anyone. I am rather enjoying the payback & wondering how come some people thought that generals would not be equally (if not more so) corrupt. It may be a case of "some people all of the time"?

We can do nothing about generals, since they are only accountable to themselves. But we can do something about politicians over time.

It's like the upteenth attempt by surkhas to tarnish Afghan jihad's memory and cool some butthurt of Soviet defeat.I am just loving it. Inki neendein haram hain aajkal.May boys deliver more missing persons to their maker soon.

You celebrate the destruction of a country which sent a human into space to live in a USSR space station and got an award for doing a hero act there. That country liberated people, including the females, during Communist governance. And what did those international so-called mujahideen do ? Destroy those achievements. Look at that country now. Are you happy with it ?

BTW, "surkha" here.

I admire your passion.Even though Russians themselves have abandoned Communism and removed Marx, Lenin and Stalin from their history, you are still enthusiastically flogging a dead horse.

Soviets were a power hungry juggernaut like any superpower. They plundered their client states and would not have stopped had they not been stopped by force. The Afghan problem today is not just because of Soviets leaving. It also includes the lost 90s and a little something called 20 year WOT and abrupt withdrawal.

Firstly I request for us not to use such violent imagery as "flogging a dead horse" or even worse "ways to skin a cat". :) Secondly, nowhere in Russia I am sure Lenin's statues have been brought down. That would be only in the eager-for-NATO formerly-USSR-or-allied East Europe, and possibly in some of Ukraine. The Communist Party of Russia is the second-largest party in Russia and I know of its long-serving general secretary Gennady Zyuganov to have participated in a public demonstration eleven years ago alongside Libyan exilees protesting against the NATO+GCC+Al Qaeda+Muslim Brotherhood invasion of Libya.

Thirdly, Marx and Communism are very relevant today especially when in Capitalist so-called democratic countries like USA, India and Pakistan where the governments spend lavishly on the military and not much resources on building a welfare system on the masses. The masses are miserable - from homelessness to suicides by the unemployed and the farmers to many other things. Below is Google result for "Communism" :
Communism is a philosophical, social, political and economic ideology and movement whose ultimate goal is the establishment of a communist society, namely a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production and the absence of social classes, money and the state. Wikipedia
The above text describes for humanity an ideals that is quite relevant today as it was in 1848 when the Communist Manifesto was published. Do you not agree ? Please read my below proposals for a Communist political system and a Communist socio-economic system. The first one really derives from the Libyan Jamahiriya system which has been adapted to Venezuela :

1. Well, I agree that being a military superpower isn't quite Communist - I myself am anti-military anti-war - but the USSR had to counter in defense the Capitalist imperialist invasions-oriented and subversions-oriented empire led by USA governments.

2. What do you mean by "plundered their client states" ?

3. Can you elaborate of War on Terror ?

Gen akhtar was a legend, IS a legend...... PERIOD

.
Gen. Akhtar was one of the most respected Chief / Head, it is ironic that dawn reported on him but didnt utter a word on other politicos who have stashed billions but somehow 5 million has become a matter of grave concern

Actually he just was transferring CIA money to Afghan mujahideen. There is nothing to note here nor there is any corruption.

Its CIA which used save heavens to aid afghan mujahideen.

Everyone here knows that already.

Just a homo newspaper trying to discredit army.

You do realize this was CIA backing afghan mujahideen of that time. Routing funds and support indirectly to Afghan mujahideen via ISI. Gen Akhtar was just a conduit as he was overseeing the operation.

I feel sorry for you that you are so blinded by your hate towards army.

Just a planned leak , to implant an idea in people's head that Pakistan Army personnel are corrupt

(Installation of idea or concept , in your mind that there is corruption)

1- Leak implies corruption in Army

2- Sudden rise in Violent Actions against Journalist in Pakistan just another
move to further put pressure on Army of Pakistan

Target : Special Police or Special Investigation Units

1645432948234.png

a) Recent cases of violence against Iqraq ul Hassan
(Generally pro Government guy was beaten)
Incident happened in Sindh , and well anything which happens in
Sindh is expected it is PPP area

b) Second incident , a Anti Government Guy , who is self proclaimed journalist , went on TV and made horrific claims , of immorality against a popular , well respected PTI and Government of Pakistan official, based on a book written by a foreigner (British Tabloid Lady, who has lost cases in England against similar acquisition even against her ex husband)

In this case the secret service , rightly went to investigate the issue because it is a crime to claim against morals of a person on LIVE NATIONAL TV with no proof, and the man opened fire on officials or used the weapon to attack the secret service / or investigation unit and waved his gun around like Rambo
  • Now this guy is by no means a sane person

But yet again the story was flipped in media , and this guy is being made into a victim , downplaying the actual story which happened against Iqrar Ul Hassan in Sindh

Jung News paper who is always a instigator , today published article claiming the "Judge" of Pakistan Athar guy , scolded the officials who went to investigate and claimed , they have no right to investigate , even when their was a formal complain filed against this guy from the person who faced defamation on live tv by this false journalist acquisitions

mohsin.jpg

The Case is being constructed
  • Secret Service or Special investigative Branch randomly commits kidnappings and torture

Its very sinister , how these two stories combine together , in both cases it serves the purpose only for elements who want to promote idea Pakistani Army is corrupt and Special Service Units are rouge

The ultimate goal is to build pressure on Pakistan Army

Develop a sense of "insecurity" in institute , so that it would start considering , giving a soft hand to the corrupt elements in Pakistan such as PPP or PML

  • Develop a ridge between Imran Khan and Army
  • Enforce Army to not interfere in corruption tactics used by PML and PPP
  • The tactics possible being deployed obvious may include ECP and some judges of court, we know these same judges approved Nawaz Sharif's blood reports

Similar pressure tactic was also used against Musharraf , when he was in civilian role where he was forced to step down eventually

IMF driven , pressure
On Civilian side , pressure is slowly being constructed , to suggest
"Raise the Fuel Prices!!" It is good for People of Pakistan meanwhile this will only instigate more instability for Government in Power

So all these aspects are not coincidental , there is a convergence happening with certain events such as anti Trust movement against Government of Pakistan

This was widely suspected & now confirmed. His sons paid a journalist to write a book about their father Gen Akhtar Abdulrehman, but it raised many questions about how they got so much money when their father was not independently wealthy. So do not please chalk this up to Satan. Human weakness is the most likely culprit here.
how is it confirmed? do you have any records of transfers to said journalist? it raised many questions? by whom?

He made all that up but believes London flats were bought via money sent on camel backs. 😂

These are treacherous people.

Everyone knows here the history of American funding Afghan mujahideen and ISI role in backing mujahideen at that time.
