You obviously missed the point. It's not about what Indian origin citizens living abroad are obligated (or not) to do (or what their status is) under the Indian laws. When Indians officially consider even 3rd generation Foreign Pakistanis as "Pakistanis", you should not be surprised when a second generation Indian American is considered Indian by Pakistanis ... Do you get it now ?
