Pak fails to get stay against Kishanganga project

Sidhu- even if we try to blackmail the pak gov, it wont be successful. The reason is simple, pak gov just dont care about its people, if they get less or more water(See how they have reacted to the recent floods and what is happening in the rehabilitation process). They will use this situation against India trying to stimulate Anti-India sentiments. So nothing positive will come out of this blackmailing, only worse could happen.
P.S- My comments are specific to the solution provided by Sidhu. One may use my comments against us as well but it won't be of any use since we know what is the truth.

they may have apathetic leaders but its payback they are slaughtering our innocent civilians the local pak populace will then be pissed off at the gov't for not fixing the water issue adding pak gov't would then have to meet our demands as we have them on the water issue look i'm just saying its one way to stop the terrorism caused by them you have any other solutions? we've tried peace and it has not gotten us anywhere

.
and thats it? we won't play dirty all the time because our country is not ruled by the army unlike there's

so while our civilians are attacked and bombed by the terrorists they send in you just want to sit back and smile? we can take away there water and teach them a lesson maybe that way they'll stop the proxy crap why even try? you have to realize that the peace loving people are not in control over there the army is

and it sends a message to people that we don't take sht from anyone
Do you what happens, when you are pushed for desparate action and to uphold dignity. They will send in more non state actors rather than comming to the dialog table.
I don't know how to reason with you, when your Emotions are runnning high and hindering your Inteligence.

Individual people might be put to think as you are saying, but as a whole the mob is driven by emotions and there won't be any +ve development. The Pakistani Army and ISI will use the people emotions to nurture their dirty needs. Do you think after we stop water and take the livelyhood of people, if there is a attact in INDIA the people of Pakistan will feel sorry for the attack, rahter they would be rejoicing with joy and even be wanting more such attacks on INDIAn soil, what you are telling will bring more harm rather than peace to the rejion. Unless an attack on Indian soil takes a toll in your family you will not see the horror of violance which you are creating through blackmailing and hatred.
Show love to the people of Pakistan and sure the people will realize that there is no point in fighting the Indians rather they would prefer friendship with us.

.
^ which is why we have done the last part many times and been slapped back for our efforts? 1998 Lahore summit we lent out our hand for friendship and they repay us back with the Kargil war and Parliament attacks, in 2005 we gave them aid during when the earthquake devastated there nation and we get the Mumbai attacks i am only telling you the reality of the situation everybody wants peace but how can they're be peace when they are running terror training camps and breeding terrorism on there soil to use against us? how can we even standby and let them do this to us? i'm not saying we should do it right away but threaten to as a alternative for surgical strike in case of another 26/11 or parliament attack or whatever

OK so their stand on terrorism has been anything but responsible, everyone knows that.

But why should we do them a favor?

Think about it.

slamabad: Pakistan has failed to get stay from the International Court of Arbitration (ICA) against India's construction of the Kishanganga Hydroelectric Power Project (KHEP).

At the ICA hearing at The Hague, Pakistan aimed to obtain a stay order to put a halt to the KHEP, which it said would seriously hinder its own Neelum-Jhelum Hydroelectric Project (NHJEP).
However, it failed to get stay against India’s KHEP construction, Dunya News reports.

According to sources, the arbitrary court judge asked India to submit a report on environmental effect caused by the construction of the dam.

The Indian delegation informed the court that it would submit the report on October 07.

However, the court asked India to submit the report of environmental effect caused by the construction of the Kishanganga Hydroelectric Power Project on September 07.

Pakistan has been objecting to the construction of the Kishanganga hydropower project on the Ganga River in Kashmir, which is called the Neelum upon entering Pakistan.

Last year, Pakistan instituted proceedings in the ICA to resolve the dispute with India

Earlier in November 2009, Pakistan had proposed both the establishment of a court of arbitration and the appointment of neutral experts to resolve the Kishanganga Dam dispute with India as soon as possible.

“The establishment of a court for arbitration and the appointment of neutral experts would be proposed to India, as New Delhi had failed to satisfy Pakistan in matters related to the dispute during negotiations between the Indus water commissioners of the two countries,” Pakistan Indus Water Commissioner Syed Jamaat Ali Shah had said.

The Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), inked between India and Pakistan in 1960, provides appointment of a neutral expert by the World Bank as a last option to resolve water related issues between both the countries.

India should also realize that if the ground realities change and Indian projects do stop the flow of water to Pakistan it would inevitably force a war, no matter what any treaty or any branch of the UN says. You can't live without water and at that point war would be the safer option.

'
War?

No issues on that.

At least India and Pakistan has an Indus water treaty.

Any comments on the Chinese damming Tsangpo and voting against the 1997 UN resolution on the Use of Water?

Blame India as much as you like, but in all fairness, how about a small noise on what the Chinese are doing on the Tsangpo?

Now, your best friend is China. Can you ask them to do the same as you claim for your 'rights'?

This is an excuse to start, the Indian People do not have a vengence towards the People of Pakistan, its only against the Government and its army also to some extent on fanatic people in India in provoking unnecessary hatred between the two nations.
Water will not be diverted from the rivers which are under treaty. Also these revers are perinial rivers which do not dry in summer. The Dam is constructed not to stop water flowing into Pakistan but to tap the kinetic energy that the flowing water possess.
Do not call for a war with pety excucess based on assumptions

then what else do we do?
Take out the fanatics with precession weapons, do not distrub the people of their livelyhood.

I don't think anybody takes a Pakistani military attack seriously in India. Pakistan has been blowing the same trumpet about Kashmir - Kashmir is the jugular vein and Pakistan can't move on anything before this dispute is settled and is ready to go to war for it. Even after all the efforts - overt and covert wars, India is the status-quo power. But if by war you mean more terrorist attacks by LeT, it could very well escalate to what you're hoping for.

Do you know that China has Draught and desert Land in Xinjiang, China could have use this water to revive the ancient DEAD LOLAN city due to water shortage..and fix any water shortage in China than to let it flown on natural course toward India...Even without any treaty...China has not prevent India from accessing this fresh water.
