We would need assurances from larger powers. Ground invasions or even incursions are politically very sensitive. My only concern is Pakistan getting sucked into something way over our heads. We have an enemy in the East just waiting for an opportunity to strike and a NATO that has never supported Pakistan in earnest.

I agree. It will be a quagmire and a gift to both India and NATO. Consider how open our Eastern borders will be to India if we have a huge part of our Army bogged down in Afghanistan?

Their intention has always been to destabilise Pakistan to make us easier to control and manipulate. If you view an incursion into Afghanistan on that basis, it's not hard to imagine that NATO is well capable to engineering a situation where they can claim that Pakistan has encroached on their interests. A false flag if you like. Then we are in a world of problems. NATO doesnt even need to do the fighting themselves, there are hundreds of thousands of Afghans who will fight Pakistan for a bowl of rice a day. That's just the way they are. My humble opinion of course, but I think we should keep it artillery, drones and hired militias. Get the Afghans to do the dirty work in their own country. Why should we risk lives?

Its do or die for Pakistan, either fight NATO on this if it comes to that or die slow death. If you back out this time even after what has happened it will embolden NATO and indian masters to keep doing more

I agree with you completely on that and I would like to believe that if it were possible our govt and Armed Forces will do exactly that. Let's wait and see. But you are right, if we dont stop this here once and for all, we will continue to bleed.

Unfortunately we have to worry about NATO. They can draw us into a Vietnam like situation in Afghanistan and leave us wide open to India on the Eastern front. Very dangerous.

its time to kill or be killed, I cannot be more blunt than that! weather one likes it or not we have no other option NATO is not the owner of afghanistan it's rather a occupier, they are neck deep in s#it to launch a war against Pakistan when they are in stone throw from China, Russia and Iran.

I just want to put things into perspective here. Even if there is a 5% chance of NATO deciding to get involved, there is a more than 50% chance India will try something in the East if they do. Can we fight a two front war? And what guarantee do we have that this is not a trap? NATO if fully capable of instigating a much larger conflict. Reason over emotion.

The option is drones, targeted assassinations, hiring a militia from the Taliban and artillery plus keeping the border closed and then fencing and mining it. We have to fence, mine and trench the border and keep only one single point of access between Afghanistan and Pakistan. And also send the Afghan refugees home. All of them.

there is no afghan army and NATO is only there manning few posts and keeping the ghani and warlord bachabaaz propped up in kabul. there will only be a one front war anything from afghanistan will be handled with exceptional ease. 2 front war is inevitable whether you like it or not!!!

no one can stop us from hunting in afghanistan let me make it clear, what the f'ck did US or NATO do when we bombed just made a statement and that is it. it's time to look after our interests or be doomed .

Do we need to really invade for terrorist hiding themselves here and there?
I do not think so. Yes, we need to destroy their breeding camps near by bordering areas, That's why heavy artillery with longer range is sent.
These element can be tackle by utilizing some old allies in Afghanistan.
