British left but the fact is the great game never ended. Pakistan inherited it all of it from Fata to Afghanistan and Russia on the other side. Either way if someone wishes or not Pakistan is the preeminent power next door to Afghanistan and directly relevant to the fate of Afghanistan. No India or powers on the other side of the world can dictate that and they know it! Fact is the instability in Afghanistan is not due to Pakistan but is in every way due to all "concerned" parties not interested in accepting Pakistani preeminence. Peace will prevail once "concerned" parties have exhausted themselves and thrown the gauntlet.

That seems somewhat unlikely, don't you think? Even if Pollyanna is advising you on the strategic front.

Droll, very droll. I see you are better educated than many others.

I say this with the greatest respect for the memory of Connolly. He was a brave man, and truly sought to win over Muslims to a kinder view of Christians. A futile effort at that time, or any other.

Sorry mate, I don't think he is anyone important to us, even to the Afghans. Americans have been playing in Afghanistan for nothing good. Let them leave Afghanistan, Pakistan will be taking over them again

The time has past the struggles have forgotten world has changed for worst money talks nations lost motives..Afghanistan prime example of foreign occupation... rulers of Afghan not only corrupt also disgustingly disloyal to their nation prior to 9/11..Indian proxy game in afghan by corrupt leaders have very serious consequences for aghans and Indians...Taliban's the only solution for afghans
