PAF Scores But Doesn't Boast of Cricket Scores Like IAF

AIR CDRE (RETD.) JAMAL HUSSAIN 42ND GDP.

After landing as I met Razzak on the tarmac, he wore a grin that would have made the Cheshire cat proud. What? I asked him. You should see the gunshot I have exposed on the F-15, he burst out. Let’s check it out, I answered. We assessed our films. Both my claims were valid and so were Razzak’s but there was a catch. The minimum safe distance specified in the Rules of Engagement (ROE) during gunshot was 600 feet. In Razzak’s gunshot cine, the Mirage gun sight was the same size as the F-15 canopy he had closed into less than a 100 feet of the F-15 and still had the sight sitting pretty and steady. Oh my God! I exclaimed. Hide it. If the bosses see it, both of us would get grounded, if not worse, But don’t you agree it is a beautiful sight, he countered. I am impressed, I answered and just could not help marvel at the enthusiasm and ego of my irrepressible no 2.

Damn, the image of an F-15 (Still regarded as one of the best air superiority fighter in the world) in the gunsights of an F-6 (Which even before 1978 was obsolete) would send shockwaves through any airforce.
Once again the professionalism of PAF stands out as this image was never released.

. . . .
Only, if you understand what you say; one would have chosen to remain silent, instead.
Eagle, why is this indian allowed to be here to pollute forum? He like his kind has no self respect thus won't leave here on his own, so may be he should be ushered out of here.

I saw this image when I was in the 6th grade about 17 years ago. The F-6 according to my old man, was built for dogfights and they have even surprised PAF Viper drivers. How PAF flew it against Eagles was definitely an experience for the American Eagle drivers. Normally in conflicts particularly in the Arab-Israeli ones, the MiGs didn't have much of a record against Israeli Eagles.

On a sidenote, despite growing up in a time when my old man flew Vipers in PAF....there was a particular sight I recall seeing were 4-ship F-6s lining up on the runway, enabling their nosewheel landing lights. That was one of the sights that pushed me to pursue a career in aviation.
