Not a really great ending imo. "The write up somehow fell into the hands of the Mossad"....."You see we know about your air force & pilots already"
I hope the training manuals for the F-16's or the JF-17's are not in the hands of other intel agencies of the world? Because that would be really dumb...
On the other hand, the article also mentioned "authored by a unknown PAF pilot"....like what? Why wasn't the pilot praised & his manual officially adopted? If so, how did that official manual get into the hands of the Israelis? Was there a mole within the Egyptian Armed Forces that shared the manual meant for the Egyptians?
Not to say that the manual helped IDF (Israeli) adapt to fighting the Mirages. How do we know that the manual wasn't shared with the Indians to fight against our Mirages!? Who also seem to fly the Mig 21 Bisons... So many questions...
Either way, it's good that the South Africans knew something good about PAF which PAF itself didn't knew about & it made the impression the start of a lasting relationship.
Bravo PAF?
On the contrary PAF is keen to find out how the IAF deployed it's front line fighter to shoot down a balloon.Looking forward to the "How a JF-17 ought to fight a ZZZ(insert Indian fighter)" manual.
The folks from our regions aren't best in documentation. And, they don't exactly follow orders in verbatim!!! Every folk in his own!! One word documented means a hundred inside the head!!! Even if the documents fall in the enemy hands it'll only raise their anxiety 100 folds....Not a really great ending imo. one ofmossad agent found it in a book store in some country. It was not secret.Mossad has definitely one of best intelligence network, especially in the middle east. The basic difference between Mossad and ISI which I think is Mossad has global footprint whereas ISI has a limited regional footprint.

This is beyond your thoughts bro...Mossad has definitely one of best intelligence network, especially in the middle east. The basic difference between Mossad and ISI which I think is Mossad has global footprint whereas ISI has a limited regional footprint.
PAF didn’t operate the MiG-21s, the Manuel was created by the PAF pilot for the benefit of Arab pilots so they could develop tactics to fight with Israeli Mirages.
Thus it was the responsibility of the Egyptian authorities to safe keep the work.
