No link but a little tweety bird has told me of this and that this has been done due to pressures exerted by vaious vested interests rather than a deficency in the product. Can you post a link?

The million dollar question is whether they just want the plane or the plane is a ruse to get the personnel to man them.Perhaps since Qatar does not have any security concerns they have decided to spend less on their military. It would make sense if they decided to buy the JF17, it can do all the tasks Qatar will ever need, it is just much cheaper.
Although, they did sign a Rafale deal and show no content to stop purchasing advanced equipment so maybe Qatar just wants to quickly stock up their military equipment? Although that would make no sense since they have no security concerns...
Because the JF17 can do whatever the Qatari air force requires. Keep in mind Qatar has no current major security problems. Buying more expensive equipment would just be pouring money down the toilet.
PAF contingent already in Qatar... PM NS set to leave for Qatar by tomorrow.
Whats going on??
Why not a month ago when there was an Airshow? I hope they are not there just for the sake of another demo that won't materialize into a sale. It seems strange considering we skipped the Airshow which means we don't consider it any beneficial for our sales and then a month later you are going to make sale to very same country . Maybe some political game is gong on in the background.Flying Display in Qatar

I got it mixed with Bahrain Airshow though it would make sense to participate in it if Qatar was potential customer.Which Airshow? Airshows are for promotion not professional evaluation. You have to present your product for professional evaluation. And no, there is no guarantee that deal will be signed after evaluation. That's how business is in defence deals.
On a side note, this may just be a gesture to promote friendly relations in the backdrop of PM tomorrow and expected LNG deal.
