You have to consider the fact that in that particular theatre PAF outnumbered the IAF (probably due to superior tactics, deception and luck) as they attacked in daylight right during the AWACS crossover.
The tables could very well have turned.
Look my argument is this, PAF did a marvelous job, the equilibrium was restored, there was no escalation by the adversary post Swift Retort. Job done. Let’s not go all gung ho and chest thumping.
So PAF did find a 1.3 times larger Airforce weaknesses and exploited them. You have to consider the fact that in that particular theatre PAF outnumbered the IAF (probably due to superior tactics, deception and luck) as they attacked in daylight right during the AWACS crossover.

The only loss would have been Nerender Modi losing elections.Escalation would have meant we would have lost Kashmir
As war is fought with money which we don't have.
We have only corruption
Fact remains, not a single PAF jet came within 100KM of intruding IAF jets.In the near future, it will come to know that if the Air Chief had followed orders, all ingressing aircraft of the previous day involved in Balakot strike could have been shot down.

It was in the context of alleged Rafale scam which Indian opposition and Rahul Gandhi had made main election plank in 2019 elections.Modi went on to say Rafale hota to hamri ijjat bach jati sasura.
I'm talking about Balakot surgical airstrike done by IAF in previous day's night. So - how does that reconcile with the IAF claim that a Mig21 "shoot down an F16" with a WVR missile if that level of separation was in the theatre at that time?
In that case, IAF would have been better off to bide their time and launch the Balakot airstrike with Rafales in the lead in 2020 or 2021, this would have further enabled IAF to maybe counter PAF counter strike with Rafales as well. Tough choice for IAF i guess, and of course it didnt pay off in 2019.@PanzerKiel India had signed Rafale deal in year 2017 two years before Balakot, so those who say India was forced to buy Rafale after Balakot are misinformed.
India isn't single party CCP ruled China.People who claim that a war would've started had 8 additional planes been shot down clearly don't have a good understanding of how things work in the real life. Obviously they'll just claim that they shot down 18 Pakistanis jets, get a bunch of people to repeat it on Twitter nonstop for 10 years, and call it a day.
Balakot strike was in response to Pulwama attack which happened a month before. It wasn't planned in anyway. In that case, IAF would have been better off to bide their time and launch the Balakot airstrike with Rafales in the lead in 2020 or 2021, this would have further enabled IAF to maybe counter PAF counter strike with Rafales as well. Empty vessels make a lot of noise.
Fact is despite having a 6:1 numerical advantage (12 F-16 vs 2 Su-30), PAF failed to make even a scratch on any Sukhois or Mirage 2K.
Only casualty was a 40 year old rusty Mig 21 which was hardly worth more than it's scrap value.
For someone related to military, this itself (your quoted text above) speaks volumes. For PAF, Converting a 1 to 3 inferiority into a 6 to 1 majority at the time of battle is something which military planners can only hope for centuries, and very few of them still managed to get it.....imagine the amount of planning, tactics, deception etc which went in to achieve all this!Fact is despite having a 6:1 numerical advantage (12 F-16 vs 2 Su-30)
Thats what my point is. IAF should have waited for newer aircraft.Balakot strike was in response to Pulwama attack which happened a month before. It wasn't planned in anyway.
Well, first Pakistan have to give India good reasons it could sell in the West and to Saudis to attack Pakistan. India don't want to be seem as a warmonger.IAF still today has the option of responding in the form of bombing multiple level HQs we have in AK (unit, brigade, division, dumps etc), just like we hammered theirs in IOK. But they havent done anything yet. Talk about effects.....
