I want to thank metalfalcon for making the only sensible and related post on this thread. too bad too many kids invaded the thread turning this into an IAF bashing thread. oh well. another thread ruined. enjoy yourselves.

You have no idea, the least you could do was to read the Think tank status below his nick and then read the forum rules about disrespecting a think tank member. Moreover his posts does speak of his intellect and that is why he told Chindit to go and call your AHQ first and you will realize what reality is before starting on PAF combat fleet numbers.

ok...this is what i wanted to know...but some of the paksitanis leave no stone unturned to take digs at me...for asking anything whatsoever.
great people always believe in being simple it is their admirers who give them the larger-than-life status...if there's something that i'd not like in his posts i'd counter it sice there's nothing against that in the forum rules...trhat doesnt meant that i disrepect him.i hope you'd agree.

My friends I had no intentions to create problems on this thread, The question raised on the first thread was an invitation to start a debate on the first place. I on the other hand reversed the question so we both have are Q and A ready. That is all.
Respecting me or not is in your hands, I am 65 did my time and now retired. Most Pakistani have started to know me a bit, A few yes they now know my name rank and what I did and did not do for my country. Our Pakistani kids are very nice and they haven't forgot what they were taught respect your elders. And they love me the above kids because I love them too. So to my Indian friends please do not take it Seriously if one of my kids said something you didn't like. I am sorry.
I always tell the above kids 2 things.
They are 2 phrases which will make you into a legend .

First of All SIR ! Your First Post was NOT Offensive, Aggressive or Abusive, You just asked the person to have some more information on IAF as well, It was your own Funny way of Asking it and It is your Right here to ask counter questions this is how Debate is done, simple is that. I don't see anything wrong in it. But one Indian member made it look offensive and posted some rules from other threads and then the chain reaction started and Pakistani Members as well started Bashing the other side and the The thread was derailed, it happens most of the time here.

84 F-16s? How realistic is that? Have the US committed to it?
i can understand the figures for the Chinese aircraft but the F-16s by the US will take some doing.

Hi how ru guy's y r u taking tension for PAF but u may ave to take for IAF coz:
PAF fleet by 2014 i'm sure:
JF-17 : 250 (single seat)
JFT-17 : 50 (Dual seat)
J-10B's : 100-150
F-16's : 62 MLU-3's or may be more
by JF-17 i mean the current version and may be the same no. of the next version which may getin 2 production by 2015 with much much better avionics and CFT's to replace the F-16's and increase the nos of jets in order to counter IAF's 1000-1200 jets which they have shown interest. I have heared several times on T.V by some defence analyst and other indian defence analyst and people realted to IR studies. i 'll be right in terms of PAF im sure about it.

One question to Muradk sir,
Why is Pak going for single seater whereas India has mainly gone for Dual seat ones ???

macintosh me not an expert but may be I can throw some light.

Dual seater planes are chosen for various reasons like

the first reason is the load that present day battlefield put on the pilot is huge. The advantage with dual seater plane is that while the pilot can concentrate on flying the weapon system operator can concentrate on chosing the right armament for a particular target.

the second reason is that when you are in for long time patrol it is good to have two people on board it reduces the fatigue on both

But in turn per sortie cost for 2 seater plane is higher then single seater.

So all in all it depends on what type od AC is suitable for particular mission.

And India is not going mostly for dual seater. Apart from MKI and some jaguars and future PAK FA all are single seater.
