PAF Combat Fleet numbers dwindling

LOL hahahaha ok I know I know what Indians want to believe but here is the reality let me break it in

JF17 Thunders
2010 - 25 planes
2011 - 50 planes
2012 - 86 planes (production boost)
2013 - 122 planes
2014 - 158 planes
2015 - 194 planes
2016 - 230 planes
Nice dream.....
Any way procuring a plane is one thing and its logistic support is another. Remember this is not auto mobile industry.
Still with all these arguments the PAF will more or less maintain the current strength.

.
But Fatman17 i suppose its only logical that the rose upgraded mirages with air to air refueling cap will stay for some time offcourse correct ?:undecided:

i agree - at least 50 of these types will soldier on with the PAF

.
Somebody should Explain explain to AZAD PAKISTAN about the Chinase generosity of a soft loan of $650m to buy the first 42 Thunders.

So 250 Thunders is all good provided the Soft loans keep growing

.
Do you even have the slightest of clue to whom you are talking too? Learn manners before addressing Sir Murad otherwise you will win yourself a one way ticket out of here and back to where you came from.

dude...it does not matter who is talking to whom in a public forum....be it anyone -it was unneeccary to bring IAF in this thread....Sir Murad is a respectable member -i agree but that doesn't mean we have to just listen to him blindly....

.
The only think we know for sure is

a) We are getting 250-300 Thunders

b) When we made Al Khalid Tanks there was no set number
Now we got QUITE a few same will happen to thunders
we will make as MANY as we want for our defence

c) Chinese deliever things ON TIME always on time or sonner
never late - never after 3 years not after embargoes
You buy from China the COME thru always dependable

d) We are GETTING those beautiful state of the art J10B fighters
and SD10 36 , with option for 150

The soft loans that china is providing is for Nuclear research and development - we already paid our share of cash for Thunders -

What is hard about logistical support , we got our own Engineering facilities we are making our own Avionics research and now we also have AWACs to coordinate between planes

One question to Muradk sir,
Why is Pak going for single seater whereas India has mainly gone for Dual seat ones ???

i think only those of indian combat air crafts are dual seaters which are for heavy combat like su-30.
dual seaters increase cost and decrease manouverability of aircraft due to increase in weight and PAF most use jets for one type of mission ie either air combat or bombing so no as such load on pilot.

Actually you can........he has proved himself in combat. While you on the other hand......

combat experience does not give one any right to bring anything off topic into discussion

besides a lot of terrorists have also proved themselfs in combat...am sure you would believe the blindly.

p.s--- Am no way relating Sir Murad to terrorists am just giving a point of view....(this is to prevent you from changing the topic to escape answering my question and bring about bashing on me:D)....

you(and not particulary directed at you) would never be regarded intelligent man till you introspect whether anything said to you ......if you just blindly believe anything...then your views just dont matter to anyone anymore since you are just a media for propaganda a person who can be easily used by anyone to spread their ****.....

Your terrorist analogy is flawed. Terrorists don't fight in combat, they kill innocent people, in areas which are not usually battle zones.

You might wanna compare guerrilla's in combat and yes they do prove themselves in combat, whether Vietnam or Mujahideen in Afghan-Russian war.

Mujahideen or the Vietnamese Guerrilla's would not be terrorists.

People killing civilians in places like Pakistan, Mumbai etc would be terrorists. You just can't compare them.

Anyway,

Sir Murad, almost all of the time has facts to prove himself. You are picking on the wrong guy on this forum.

.
i think indians are crossing limits ..... there rude comments have really blown my top.
SIR MURAD is highly respected to us and we love him most in our forum ...
i think moderator should play his role to shut nonsense.............

One question to Muradk sir,
Why is Pak going for single seater whereas India has mainly gone for Dual seat ones ???

macintosh me not an expert but may be I can throw some light.

Dual seater planes are chosen for various reasons like

the first reason is the load that present day battlefield put on the pilot is huge. The advantage with dual seater plane is that while the pilot can concentrate on flying the weapon system operator can concentrate on chosing the right armament for a particular target.

the second reason is that when you are in for long time patrol it is good to have two people on board it reduces the fatigue on both

But in turn per sortie cost for 2 seater plane is higher then single seater.

So all in all it depends on what type od AC is suitable for particular mission.

And India is not going mostly for dual seater. Apart from MKI and some jaguars and future PAK FA all are single seater.

PS: Murad sir sorry to get in between. Please correct if I am wrong

Don't know what to say to member airuah very immature; guys don't worry lets stay on topic.

Not at all
I started from a propeller fighter went to a Single engine fighter to a Double engine fighter and up and down. PAF has always looked at Pakistan and what Pakistan can afford at that time and has gone for it without concerns that the fighter is single engine or double.
For the same reasons PAF has placed Air Combat proficiency at the very top of its agenda when selecting and training its combat pilots. In the environment it was placed, it knew its main adversary would always enjoy a substantial numerical advantage that could only be overcome through superior training, bold planning and unconventional concepts. Because of its numerical inferiority, PAF realised that complete neutralization of the adversary’s air power would be an unrealistic goal. It, however, could deny the enemy control of the air especially over its own territory.

with a doubt very less quantity, 150 JF17s + 76 F16s + a few capable Mirages, the rest oldest Mirage IIIs & F7 are going to retire.

So in total PAF will just under 300 new jets, isn't that just too low number?
