What's new

PAF Combat Fleet numbers dwindling

if 20 front line is official the the future is like this

JF-17 = 250 in two block
FC-20 150
F-16 = ~60
--------
total = =360 except F-7

if F-7 include then its around ~510

Sir the total comes out to be 460 excluding F-7, and I must correct you about the F-16's is that, we will be having 63 F-16's by 2011. The break down is 45 F-16's block 15/30 and 18 F-16's block 52+. Furthermore we are negotiating for our embargoed 14 F-16's which is currently with the USN and an option for another 18 F-16 block 52+. The 45 F-16's will be upgraded to Block 52 standard, so the total no of F-16's could reach to as many as 95 any by 2020 we can expect the total to be somewhere around 495. The breakdown are as follows:

250 JF-17 Thunders(Block 1,2,3)
150 FC-20's
95 F-16's (a mix of Block 52 and 52+ respectively)

we have played this game before, anyway it cld look like this

F-16 = 100
JFT = 150
FC-20 = 40
Mirage Rose = 50
F-7PG = 50
390 +/-

.
PAF Wings = 33,34,37,38,34,31,32,35 (transport)
Squadrons = 26,22,8,7,2,23,17,5,27,20,15,11,9,5,16,25,14,CCS(2),composite Mirage sqdn (1)=20.

I only want to remind our indian friends here, that they shouldn't forget the flying coffins. India buys many aircraft bcz it calculates that 70 % will crash during routine training :argh:

wow i would love to have a look at that figure. guy just remember one thing, sure we have a issue of high accident rate but it isnt high as 70%. as compared to actual flying hours and operating aircrfaft it might be even less then 1%. now to my mind it is still a high figure.

next time i wd advise u to be lil more carefull with figures, else u will lose credibility in the forum.

blk2 jf17 might have a specialized twin seeter version , which is being funded by paf

Wow, every second person on this thread got banned , over the years :tsk:

Sensible count I would say....
Again one more question are the Thunders are supposed to replace the A5 and F-7?

They will first replace all of the A-5's then the f-7's (non-PG'S) and mirages ( all non-ROSE upgrade mirages )

F-7PG's will serve till ~2020 and Mirage ROSE upgraded will also serve PAF till ~2017

.
....and mirages too!

But Fatman17 i suppose its only logical that the rose upgraded mirages with air to air refueling cap will stay for some time offcourse correct ?:undecided:

Yeah it will be the ROSE one which will stay bit longer.all non ROSE will be retired as soon as PAF get rid of A-5's,the next to go after A-5 will most probably be the Mirage Non ROSE ones

MZUBAIR earlier post

Pakistan AirForce in early quarter of 2012 (after 1 year n 3 months on my observations).

50 JF-17 Block I (Ground Role)
~20 JF-17 Block I (Multi-Role)
~ 61 F-16 Block 52 or MLU (Multi Role).... may be 18 more come in 2011
~ 80 Mirage ROSE
~ 50 Mirage III/V
~ 80 F-7
~ 60 F-7PG
____________
Total Combat AC's in 1st Quarter of 2012 : ~400

Is about the most realistic.

The rest are just guessing.

With worries over potential USA/INDO relationship
Constant new technology improves by PLAAF esp J10
wot dragging Pak economy further behind
Potential natural disasters in the country

Its impossible to look beyond 2013 me thinks

And what would happen after 2013. In fact more appropriately which new date you would give after 2013.

.
The only problem with the above is:
50 JF-17 Block I (Ground Role)
~20 JF-17 Block I (Multi-Role)

There is no difference in any of the JF-17s to be fielded. They are and will remain MR.

Lol, start thinking about 2012 then. The world's end is near.

Don't worry, Pakistan has always seen it's share of Floods and earthquakes and the refugees from within and across the borders.

.
LOL hahahaha ok I know I know what Indians want to believe but here is the reality let me break it in , I laugh as I view another JF17 thunder brand new one flying out from runway

JF17 Thunders
2010 - 25 planes
2011 - 50 planes
2012 - 86 planes (production boost)
2013 - 122 planes (Energy crisis ends in Pakistan and $$ and production goes up)
(Due to the Iran Pakistan gas pipeline)
2014 - 158 planes
2015 - 194 planes
2016 - 230 planes
(Note a little increase in production in 2013 could give us 300 planes no rush but )

J10B
2014 - 18 planes FULLY LOADED PAIN
2015 - 36 planes FULLY LOADED PAIN
2016-2017 100 planes (Option)

F16
2010 - 64 planes
2011 - 64 + 18 planes (Planned Options) = 82 planes
2012 - Sqeeze in 18 more ?? (May be not including these in count)

Mirage
2010 - 181 planes (We do custom Mod Jobs on these birds - now with BVR lol)
150 sealed pack engines bought in 2004 0 - KM

These planes have been updated with radars and other goodies
So if anyone thinks we will not be flying the mirages is kidding themsleves.

Cengdu F-7 Skybolt
2010 - 192 planes (Some of these planes troubled US raptors even in mock combats)

Lets Add the fighters

About 685 fighters with option of 100 J10B

Retired Planes : Nanchang A-5 40 planes by 2015

Air Force Multiplier
AWACs
Sweedish AWAC X 4 20% - 2010
Chinese AWACS x 4 25% -2010/2011 AESA ENABLED

Electronic Warfare Dassault Falcon 20 x3 15% - 2010

ANTI AWAC killers DAMMN ... Tactical Advantage written all over it

AIRCRAFT carrier killers (in time of needs china is just 100 km away ) wink wink - I heared aircraft carrier underwater make good reefs

BVR Missiles :
AMRRAM120C - 500 Missiles our F16 are 50% more efficient
SD-10 - 800 Missiles 100% improvement in range (Mirage, Thunder)
South African Variants 25% improvements

Alternative Missiles:
Brazilian Missiles :smitten: new presents
Homing close range missiles alternative to Sidewinders :cheesy:

Air Refuelers x 4:
Our Air Force Operational Range and Tactical Missions capacity increases by 10%

So our Airforce with its Projected 682 fighter planes
With K-8 40 its really 722 planes

Soon the Airforce will also use 100 Unmanned planes with Missiles and special missions Can you imagine these birds flying around with a SD-10 on em ?? oh ... I better run with that bulky Mig

And do I need to mention we added other classified planes for intelligence and transport planes and other items

If we had add our transport planes into the mix then our total we got is
Almost 800-1000 planes strong force

With the Chinese High Altitude Missile defence sheild - our Airforce Defensive Posture will increase 200% but we need more transport planes - if we buy 100 J10B then our offence will go up by 200% or so ... so anyway you look at it - if you go against us it won't be pretty

Behold Pakistan 2016 SUPER POWER AIRFORCE

Pakistan Operates around 1000 planes in all by 2016 by my estimates -

attachment.php

By 2015 we will only be missing
Stealth
Tactical Bombers
Transport planes just more planes

Rest we GOT IT INFACT we are also selling if you need a plane CALL ME I get you good deals on these Thunders brother -
