PAF Camp Badaber attack: Five Pakistani 'terrorists' identified

No we have not, that is why we are having this debate, we may have become used to it but we have not accepted/embraced it as a way of life, two different things.

You have already lost your humanity by getting used to terrorism.

.
We don't want to become Syria, Iraq , Libya or Somalia. Terrorism is bad but civil war is worse.

. .
You are wrong, terrorism in india exists and is of a different kind which is against minorities and we see that displayed every few years in the shape of minority massacre be it Christians, Sikhs, Muslims, other minorities or classes.

India has the most poor in the world but they don't suffer from terrorism. Whys that?

I don't really see military bases and airports being attacked in India. I think you are confusing communal violence with terrorism.

You are also making excuses for the terrorists.

I don't think there is any other country on earth with the logic of Pakistanis.

.
Communal violence is a form of Terrorism, but that is not our point of discussion let Indians deal with their problems.

I am one of the, if not "the" most pro-Pak, anti-anything anti Pakistan person on this forum but that does not make me loose my sanity to the point where I would propagate, accept, or condone killing innocent people because someone associated with them turns out to be a terrorist, unless they have knowingly and willingly helped/assisted/supported that person in anyway in such activities.

The question does arise however, as does mutual hatred between terror relatives/non relatives, victims, supporters/non supporters. Where do we draw the line in terms of what actions are to be undertaken to prevent this extremism and intolerance from spreading then?
A terrorist wants me dead because I don't dress like him or submit to his emir, I want him dead and the one who trained him and all others like him. Their families want me dead because they still love their sons.. Hence I want those families dead.. and so on.

Where do you and I decide.. and initiate.. " This is what we stop, and this is where we stop in our actions in that"?

Just read few really hate riddled comments about the justice these terrorist deserve... one friend actually mentioned to route out their entire family tree..... that's some serious stuff... that is exactly the extermist mind set of those criminals we are hating... if you just look at the video released by so called Khalifa umar of these terrorists you would see regular young pathan fellows .. nothing unusual about them... they could have easily be a good engineer, doctor or truck drivers... but... we denied them that.... Our enemies reached out to them before us and they have messed with their emotions and un-trained mind.... promised them a life after death which they had deserved to live here among-st us... hence they end up being the bad guys.... if we look at it closely... it is a tragedy for our nation on both ends... the martyred who they had killed and they themselves were our "OWN" people...

I will never let the veil of naivete allow them an ounce of sympathy so please do not try that. They didn't eat dung and didn't hit their heads against the rocks day in and day out so they weren't lunatics either. They chose their path consciously and we have chosen our path. We will continue to fight them till they have regained their consciousness back or till they are no more!

Yea that's why they are always between 15-22 years old ... because that's the age we can choose path consciously...
and for the sympathy... i am as much hurt as much you are ... but that doesn't mean we have to loose "conscious" and think in a similar way as they do... we have to do better....

The question becomes somewhat less difficult to answer if you remove the religious angle from terrorism and treat it as a regular crime of arson, disturbing peace and homicide. You dont punish the relatives of a murderer no matter how close they are to him or whether they live with him or not, unless they are complicit in the murder it self. Nor do you punish those who express support to the murderer unless that support has facilitated the crime. Why should terrorism be any different ?

So how old they will have to grow to understand that killing unarmed people is wrong? Again, they are neither naive nor lunatics not to know it.

And we need to be conscientious of what and how we revenge or take the battle to them. That's what precisely Army is doing right now. Cutting their financiers, uprooting their infrastructure and killing the ones who would not wake up unless a bullet goes through their heads

my friend if you are curtailed from world with complete information blackout... and indoctrinated for sometime with hate speech.... Even you might commit the same mistake ....anyway .. my point is that ... just violence is not an answer...the ill-fated kids which we have already lost to Talibitches might not be reversed but we have to reach out to our people so that they must not find recruits from them... we must vein our people away from further damage...

My concern is please do not create another class of terrorists i.e. 'naive talibs' after the notorious 'good talibs' and 'bad talibs'

Let's keep it simple. The only good talib is a dead talib.

Poverty and lack of education is not the root causes of terrorism.

India has the most poor in the world but they don't suffer from terrorism. Whys that?
Poverty and lack of education certainly is a primary culprit but good social and moral values can avoid these youths from becoming antisocial elements.. Breeding ground for these antisocial elements has a key ingredient called a motivator apart from poverty and lack of proper education ..When violence becomes accepted value of a society than there will be no lack of such motivators ..Then what can govt do in such a scenario ?
As they say poverty is a state of mind it needs a lot of time for one to overcome this disease ..Govt should concentrate on spreading right message to the locality through local leaders ,religious leaders or people of influence ..If it can't be done then you loose the war ..Next every step is just preventing the side effects of moral degraded area ..Some times most complicated problems have simple solution ..In this case I think religiously twisted teachings being a prime motivator govt and able leadership can make the difference ..They need to operate above religion and should not allow others to use it as tools ..Or they should use religion as a tool for good governance and should have complete control ..
