My friend, right now we have 3 osumi class light carriers, we have 2 hyuga light carriers and we have now 2 Izumo light carriers. We will be purchasing 2-3 WASP class ships , clearly it is apparent to our allies that Japan's Navy is ONE of the most technologically advanced and largest in the region, if not in the world. 10 divisions of Rikusentai (Imperial Marines) is about 100,000. I think that is necessary considering the size of our Navy. We have a HUGE navy, lol.

Rikusentai should be sent abroad wherever Japanese interests are threatened. Tho I believe we should have at least 200,000 Rikusentai. Given the shear size of the Japanese Navy.

Still, 10 million reserves is a large number. And If correct, I think India also has another 1 million paramilitary troops, yes? So active army + paramilitary forces is around 2+ million. Not including tactical reserves.

The Plan is for the JMSDF to have a destroyer fleet size of 65. Maintain 7 light carriers and about 2-3 super carriers.
+ auxiliary ships , frigates etc.

There is another one called ITBP
The training and other equipments of these forces will be different than our active military .And I think our govt divided them under different ministries to keep a low profile .And as a democracy we need a complete civilian control over them.
All of them have their own SF wing like CoBra for CRPF ,Paracommandos for Army ,Garud for Airforce and MARCOS for Navy.

The entire Dutch Asian Squadron was erased form the face of the earth, and the Dutch Army in what is now Indonesia was totally decimated. The rest fled to the hills for their lives.

Actually, Japanese were already conducting bombing on Australia by the time the Americans engaged the Imperial Navy in Guadalcanal. The Aussies have their independence to thank to the Yanks. The Post War constituiton was not written by the Japanese, but it was imposed upon the country by MacArthur and the US Government. The generations of Japanese at that time merely maintained it due to the self imposition , it is not a natural for Japanese to impose such inhibitions.

ANY JAPANESE in Japan will know that the body of protesters in front of the Diet Building the past week are mostly members of the CPJ (Communist Party of Japan). This is the difference tho; in Japan we allow them to protest. We do not arrest them ; even communists and ultra left wing anarchists have the CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to express their views and assemble. So long as they don't damage public property.
