Solomon Island signed that pact is because their PM is on the way out (He is very unpopular by the way) this September and he wanted to get as he step off and us Aussie and you Kiwi wouldn't want to pay..

The problem Pacific Island is facing is not invasion, but natural disaster (Tsunami and Volcano eruption), in this sense, it make almost zero sense to form security pact with the Chinese, sure, invasion can still wait, Tsunami and Volcano wouldn't they will just did their business and move on, if aid have to totally depend on China to come to rescue, their island probably sank before any aid arrive from China...

Caucasian mountain range is on the opposite side in Caspian sea over Turkmenistan and all the way to Baku, Turkmenistan is the NORTH WEST border in Afghanistan.

Here is the map, it show you the distance between Caucasian mountain range (The Red Dots) and Afghanistan. The closest point between Caucasian mountain range and Afghanistan is even closer than to Moscow.....

Or you have some kind of "Alternative Reality Map" you study in Malaysia??

Dude, it is 710 mile, It is longer for me to go from Sydney to Brisbane, or Hong Kong to Shanghai. And it is closer than any "European" country on this earth, hell, it even closer than Moscow, the supposedly "Capital" of the country that own that mountain.

You tell me if it was "near"? People used to traverse the mountain by foot and camel and go from Europe to Afghanistan into Asia......
