Those are not missiles dear. But our bird do have tracking and firing separate radar to target the enemy jets even if they are behind it. And with high g maneuverable missiles one doesn't need backward facing missile. Thank you.

Can any senior member confirm if object in pic is missile or not ( back facing)

Well if you read correctly , PAK shown interest in Su-27 flanker while India looking for Su-30 aka MKI ver. aat same time more advance then SU-27.

PAK lost interest because India getting more advance of same plane so PAF decided not to buy and Mirage -2000 is PAK's out of Financial capability.

In short, its the not PAK which rejected Su-27 on technical grounds its because India getting more advance ver of it.

That's why there is an additional radar in tail of Mki which can target the trailing jet at 20 km range. This frees the front radar to perform its other roles. Thank you.
