Over 80 % Chinese Has No Knowledge Of 1962 Indo-China War

So? What is the problem with that?

They are not like Indians here getting indoctrinated in their schools or something

A similar survey done here, would give out same results - I doubt anyone remembers 62' war - that is if one calls it that, secondly I highly doubt people will have much ill will for China. Pakistan is a different matter though - and that to because of Kargil and Mumbai attacks.

.
That only shows China is not a kind of country who glorifies its war efforts, win or lose, with its neighbors. No text books or even much media writings talk about the war. Let bygone be bygone, the next generations would have easier time to mend their relationships.

yeah!! CPC does not want to list its war crimes it committed..like the 1962 war ..it killed 100s of indian soldiers because it wanted to teach India a lesson for not budging on the boundary issue.
It does not want to tell its people why Mao for his political benefit started a war!

No the war wasn't to teach India a lesson but rather to stop Nehru's forward policy. The results, it turned out, we bought half a century of peace between the two countries and, perhaps, saved countless of deaths for both sides. Let's face it, it could've been worst if we let tensions build up and the war would've happened 10 years later than 62'.

Perhaps Chinese don't want their kids to know how they betrayed the nation who favored them in World politics and also had many NAM nations to be in favor of China, after Chinese forcibly annexed Tibet autonomous region because a great communist saint Mao Zedong felt it was integral part of Imperial China in ancient history!!:hitwall:

And funny thing is they are still using the same ancient maps to claim islands 1800 miles away from their mainland because they think its nearby area are rich in natural resources (read oil or gas) and it gives them Geo-startegic edge to be there, therefore threaten smaller nations and take their lands.

Before this island incident its never happened in modern world that any nation has forcibly grabbed other nation's sovereign land by threatening them, imagine what if US starts doing it, all south American would be landless, even Fidel Castro  Also Georgians would have been Russian:tup:

but its not the way super powers act, its Pseudo superpower which would vanish with time if this aggressive attitude prevails!!:agree:

Forgetting the conflict and looking for peaceful solutions of border issues is the only way out now. Having better relationships is good for both the countries. The problem was created by the British, and escalated by foolish Indian foreign policy.

Both countries have similar interest on international forums, they share similar stands on many problems. Prior to 62', India was quite pro-China. Supported it in UN for many issues. Even on Tibet, which Chinese accused us of creating trouble, India supported China.

China has to understand that it is too late for Arunachal Pradesh, India has to forget Aksai Chin and move on. Even if the position doesn't change, just maintain status-quo.

I would rather have China investing in infrastructure in India than building up military in the south. Same for India.

Who told you that Indian members are indoctrinated???? If that is the case....then Indian would not be same as it is today....Come out of your emotional outburst and see the facts...

Those are the rural Chinese.

Ask the Urban Chinese what they think of India, and their response will like of SinoChallenger :D

That is rather uninformed for a person claiming to have lived most of his life in the west. I have quite a few Chinese friends and they don't necessarily love or hate India, even though they are aware of its presence.

1971 is more like a Greedy Bear who wanted honey and then knocked the beehive down from the tree but got stung by a bees

Even today, the Greedy Bear still doesn't have its honey.

As long as you are under the illusion of being a bear against Indians as "bees", you won't learn from your history, which is good news for India.

. .
But a person remembers vividly the blood sucking mosquito which gave it malaria and remembers fondly swatting it - that would explain Indians remembering 1971 so vividly.

And again the Malauns take credit of Our Liberation War. Well done Malaun.

It was Mao time , China is communist country they read what their country want's to read them.

80% Chinese people hate Mao , It was most violent and worst period of China.

Even children used to complain in police if their parents speak anything against mao. neighbor against neighbor. Students against teacher , awful time. Mao was psychopath .

He killed 70 million people according to some sources for name of Culture cleaning.
70 million, wasn't it 7 billion?
Do You know why India will never defeat China?
we are lucky to have Chairman Mao, and you don't.
For those Chinese who knows something about India ,
they always say India needs "Indian Chairman Mao" and fortunately they don't,
so India will never be a rival to China.

.
80% Chinese people hate Mao
I do not know where your data comes from, your textbook or you media. You have been cheated or self-deception.
make another survey, and you will be disappointed!
The best way to know China is to talk with Chinese ,instead of reading Western newspapers. They never tell the truth for free, and you cann't afford being idiot.

. .
This is not surprising at all. Same is condition in India.

Only history bugs in India know in detail 1962 Indo-China war while majority dont know about it & mostly majority have very positive or nuetral views about China.

Just like a person doesn't remember swatting a fly years ago because its so insignificant :D

The same in-significant fly scr*wed its western neighbour 4 times in battle & even brought biggest military surrender after WW2 & ripped its neighbour into two nations.

Now Genius, if it was a insignificant fly then rate its western neighbour too ???
