The program was an eye opener to many in my family and friends, it also set in a fear fo the crhildren in our families. It was a good first step towards exposing the evil for what it actually is. Indian society is maturing and coming out into the open with social issues which were always kept hushed up for fear of losing one's dignity.

CSA is rampant in all countries it depends on the awareness and the level of exposing the crimes that each society permits. The sexual overtone includes everything from actual rape to unnecessary hugging and kissing and exposing one's private parts to a child, showing them pornographic material etc. The first step is always social awareness, severe cases of child abuse and exploitation have been reported in India in the past, but to bring it all together in the form of statistics and exposing the evil associated with it, discussing about how the parents are being ignoring it, how a child recognizes what's happening to him/her and constituting a badly needed law for it is what is presently happening and is most welcome by everybody in India.

Note, this 50% statistics is coming from a free media....and they often create a hype just to increase their TRP...

But, Whatever %age YOUR media shows in whatever issue is never believable...since it is not free.......

Next, compare that to the prevalence of child sexual abuse in your country. Not even close.

When im on here i dont mind having disagreements or a difference of opinion with the likes of Jaytl but when the topic is revolving around kids and their welfare i draw the line. Its disappointing people making cheap shots. Is a child any different in China Pakistan or India? Is it necessary to make and have cheap remarks over threads like this?
Its distasteful and something we should all look at and hope it is eradicated from society as it does happen in sadly all nations - you get good and bad everywhere.

There is no moral equivalency between child abuse and South Koreans consuming Chinese medical waste. None. Not a cheap shot, but a statement of fact.

Look Einstein Is it easier to protect one child from harm or 7 kids?? Figure it out. Neglect and abuse goes up with the number of kids. Just ask Octomom. where did u get the 7 kids bullcr@p from?, Indias population growth rate is 1.41%, ranking 102nd in the world in 2010, fertility rate is 2.6 ranked 79, and birth rate is 20 births/ 1000 ranked 89.
