I don’t think that this kind of oppression has ever happened in Pakistan’s history, if we leave aside East Pakistan.

The large scale torture and sexual humiliation of senior party members, like Swati. The torture and murder of senior journalists, like Arshad Sharif. The torture and sexual humiliation of women from good families. I can go on.

Zia never abused women.

I heard a few days ago about how Bhutto had one of his political colleagues sodomised in front of his son by a jail sweeper because he made a flippant remark about Bhutto.

Bhutto was a demonic and violent psychopath who destroyed Pakistan and now we have Dajjal Asim Munir Whiskey. But Whiskey is doing it on a much larger scale.
Yes it happened under Bhutto, who had dhullai camps for his political rivals and those who didn't reform after dhullai camps, he simply assassinated them.

Habib Akram once said last year, soon you will see under the shadow of Jahangir Tareen, a PTI will emerge where everyone will be manipulated and Khan will be left alone... They want puppets like PMLN/PPP. There is no democracy in Pakistan. PMLN/PPP opportunists are just fighting for the survival of their incompetent kids (Maryam/Bilawal). They are willing to compromise everything and become pawns of the establishment, while those who don't have dynastic family politics or businesses are left to fend for themselves. Minus Khan is in process. Asad Umar and Shireen Mizari are undoubtedly the most prominent figures in Khan's PTI.

Full speech of Imran Khan. He is ordering all party leaders to go underground (abit too late) and is planning to hold a meeting tomorrow with party leaders, he may plan to hand over PTI to someone else. Shame on Pakistanis, first they back him and now hiding in their living rooms. Its better for Imran Khan to either resign or move the party to where his support base is so PTI can stay as a regional party.

Not a good comaprison.

The support base of PTI vs MQM is totally different.

Altaf Hussain in that era of Raheel Sharif and then Bajwa was a totally different beast than that of the 90's.

Altaf Hussain's support had already waned much before this military action took place. And it had somewhat legitimate grounds. Actually not somewhat, alot.
