Bro, Pakistan has been under military rule for half it's history. It's already a banana republic. During this time, it lost East Pakistan and over half the population, parts of Kashmir, 70,000 lives in WoT, economic damage which can quantified by remembering that no foreigner is stupid enough to invest here where anyone can be blown up at anytime.
Why is it that despite COAS unconstitutionally removing governments, we preach that chain of command is more sacred than the constitution, saving the country from collapse, or even firing on civilians? The very things every soldier has sworn an oath to protect? Why is there more loyalty to the COAS then to the people of Pakistan?
Furthermore, we have seen the establishment remove COAS over personal whims or even assassinate a COAS over foreign dictation. So why then does chain of command take a back seat in these scenarios?
You have army guys on this forum, mocking civilians that their opinions don't matter or joking that bullets await Imran Khan, like in the post below. It's as if the army treats this country like it's a colony or fiefdom. It's clear that there is truth to the saying, "every country has an army, but the Pakistan Army has a country".
Brother, I understand your emotions and trust me when I say this it is suffocating and frustrating. The last thing we need is a precedent to be set by a junior to overthrow the chief. Which was the main point I was referring to, I agree with everything that you say but if a junior overthrows the chief he will never announce elections. I don’t know how old you are, I am not that old myself but I know when I was a younger with hot blood, thinking of myself as some hot shit ready to conquer the world, not giving a f about anybody or anything, I was a completely different animal to now when I am a lot more mature and with a cooler head. Hence cooler heads should prevail , I personally think Asim is a teenager in a 60 years old body, how is that going for us right now? Now imagine if major or LT colonel who thinks of power as money, girls or some other childish thing becomes the chief, do you think he will announce elections and let go of powe which is the biggest and most addictive drug? Basically we both want the same thing just different ways of going about it if that makes sense.
