Aren't there any internal controls in place to stop such a scenario? There are secondary switches to shut down nuclear weapons in accidental launches, so why not kill-switch on Generals that go insane?

Resignation from posts serve no purpose. They just increase the power ratio in favor of the COAS. Corp Commanders and others must stick to posts and remove COAS if possible.

We used to think the establishment was some institution that encompassed many individuals and transcended the COAS, operating to protect Pakistan no matter the cost. Now it's been revealed that the establishment is nothing more than a COAS, no matter how smart or dumb he may be. If such an institution actually exists, now is the time to act to protect the country and remove the COAS.
