Yh same experience, most Pakistanis are pro democracy, only Imran khan is a viable option, the army has never been hated this much since 1971 (thanks to our generals), and it has certainly lost support from a lot of UK Pakistanis (especially Kashmiris), those false bravado days are over for them.. no more honeymoon period.. they need to flock off back inside their barracks where they belong.

We let our love of the Pak army blind us for many years. From fatima jinnah to imran khan today. No one is blind anymore our eyes have opened.

Pakistan never got true independance from its Colonial overlords in the UK/US. Decisions are made in London/Washington, communicated down to the COAS and onto the Pak Govt.

Idk about taxi drivers in the USA, but they make a lot of money in the UK. Exhibit 1 - The villas of AJK, especially Dadyal, Mirpur and Kotli.
