PDM is not a political force, its a group of thugs that wants their previous crimes pardoned.

Of course the decision is indeed fishy. The way he has been released and simultaneously not released and was asked to request his supporters to calm down tells a lot.

They feel some pressure from the protests but not enough. They hope these protests peter out.

The population (domestically and world wide) can not give up. This needs to become a way of life, a campaign of years if need be to keep the pressure on.

The qoum will have to adopt more visible but symbolic protests, disrupting business as usual but always in a peaceful manner. People need to study the struggle of Lek Walesa and Solidarity in Poland in the 80s. Many strong parallels.

Better messaging as well is needed, that continue to name and shame.

Overseas Pakistanis can do much more by campaigning in their respective countries and highligting the human rights violations. Limit their investments in Generals' owned businesses, name and shame those Generals who settle in a foreign country, get pension from Pakistan and pay tax on that pension in a foreign land..

Imagine... a retired General paying tax on pension he earns from Pakistan to a foreign government.. other overseas Pakistanis earn and pay taxes in the same country.. these shameless pay taxes on their income coming from Pakistan.
