What's new

Otokar reveils several new products (Incl 30ton IFV)

Everybody expected a new cobra version developed for Turkish Land Forces requirements after we saw the Cobra 2.5 and everyone would expect that Otokar would develop Tulpar to stay in competition with FNSS but Ural's a total unexpected. I'm very interested in it.

Ever since I saw Ural, I think that we should transfer armed forces' shortland fleet to the police department and replace them with Ural. Shortland vehicles are exactly what the police needs and Ural is more suitable for armed forces than shortland. V-shaped hull and mine protection is essential for the Army and Jandarma on the other hand all the police needs is ballistic protection.

It's SSM's policy to compete with German products so I wouldn't be surprised if Puma and Tulpar at least looked similar but in this case I suggest you get a pair of glasses.

Otokar didn't license-produce anything excpept for the Land Rover Defender/Shortland series, their designs are genuinely their own.

Maybe URAL for Army & Police should be better :)

Police doesn't need URAL or Cobra for that matter. I've had this discussion before. They've no use for mine protection in cities, V-shaped hull doesn't mean anything for them, there's no need to throw away money for something they don't need. My suggestion is cost-effective.

FNSS will unveil a true monster AIFV in coming days. would make this one look like a childrens play.

Maybe your Right ,but if the PKK-Problem don´t solved we cannot sure that the Police will need something like that.

Haha you are way into the safety of our military brothers, brother! If our police needs military-like vehicles to patrol the streets of our cities, then I think we should worry more about other things as well - like why the hell we have let the terrorists to enter the cities at the first place.

Didn't forgot about them, but can you please tell me why they would need armored vehicles (or more like what would be called something along "submarine on wheels") that's equipped with reactive armor? Why go so extreme? It will only bring alot of costs at no use at all.

Anymore pictures?

Being "monstrous" isn't very suitable for AIFVs because the requirement for such a role is a quick reaction, agile and highly maneuverable platform able to navigate the battlefield with greater serviveability as well as inflicting serious damage on the enemy forces. Being huge and monstrous is what we need tanks like Altay to be.
