they have identical appearance and specification... Tulpar is a FIAT CCV

even the number of wheels is the exact same 7=6

Besides, if you look very closely, you can see that they both have a turret! Probably engines too!!!

There are is a Big different between Tulpar & Dardo like Mountains.

But Brainless People can´t see that..........!!!

Really ,we are in 21st century and they give Comments like ,it´s Dardo ,it´s not Turkish ,these are 100 % the Guys who are writing **** in Wikipedia about Turkey !!!

We still have those old Btr 60 and 80,about 500.
We need to get rid of those first.

I hope the replace that with FNSS - AV-8.

Same question on you ,on what based this ? I know that Italian has many products who base on German Vehicles/Tanks.

I'm simply considering the possibility, given that some Turkish systems are indeed based on foreign sytems e.g. towed- and tracked 155mm guns (T-155 'Firtina' <> k9 South Korea), coast guard vessel and attack helicopter (Mangusta, Italy).

Italy has no tanks based on German tanks but for the now obsolete OF-40 (Leo 1 based) and many truely indigenously developed tracked and wheeled IFVs (e.g. Ariete MBT, B-1 Centauro 8x8, Dardo ICV, Puma 4x4 and 6x6 )

Turkey does create products via transfer of technology, but that is to solidify the foundations of know-how and move on from there. In my opinion, Turkey has a good strategy in this regard.

When it comes to basing new developments to existing products in the military industry, this happens everywhere. It shouldn't be considered a surprise if a particular product is based on an already existing product. And I definitely wouldn't be surprised if a new product ends up looking like an existent product.

Dude, It is clearly reported by Otokar that Tulpar is the result of Altay Design/Development engineering activities. Both have lots of similar subsystems in chassis but If you pay attention, The distance among 7 wheels of Tulpar are more narrow than Altay. It makes Tulpar looks smaller than Altay chassis.

Bro, Yes It is perfect strategy of SSM for some serious programs. The most important factor is to reach designated target as soon as possible. At final phase, The products designed/developed (based on existing platform or designed from zero) is the one Intellectual and Property rights belong to Turkey. Noone has a saying over them I mean the final products in following productions when national contribution reached maximum levels are pure Turkish as well (T-155 Firtina howitzers are manufactured around %80 national contribution. Thanks to this technology gained, Industry succesfully designed/developed Firtina ARV without receiving any help from abroad). With this strategy on some specific products, Turkey has reached cutting edge level to reveal everything even our allies may demand. Only one or two strategic program remained to be carried out with same strategy. Long Range SAM design/development will also be a mixture between Foreign experience+Turkish technology. After this period, Turkish industry will be ready to kick anything (2017-18) Western or Russian most strategic institutes will reveal as a rival for our markets.

Only the Design again ,T-155 is very different from K-9 Thunder and T-129 is very different from A-129.

In T-129 you can change the Role from Pilot to Gunner and from Gunner to Pilot.


T-129 has many different systems and technology from A-129.

Same for T-155 & K-9 Thunder.

It´s Cool. I mean if one of the Pilots fails ,the other one Can Change Roles for a while and that can Save Life.

I thought like, if pilot gets hit, the gunner can take the control, preventing a crash, saving his or both of their lives.

I do not know much about T155/K9 systems. But I want to say something about T-129.

If you are designing a millitary aircraft the most important thing is avionics. Because without a well designed electronics hardware and a software only thing you have is a scrap metal. Avionics is the thing that makes those metals fly... Todays jets and halos can not even fly without it. Fighting and especially fighting better than others is based on avionics. (BTW fighter jets are incredibly unstable and balance and route of plane is recalculated thousands of times in every second. I think this is a good example for importance of avionics.)

Soooooo... If you design your own avionics you did the most important part of design. Mechanics and especially engine is very important too but it is not so hard. If your country urgently needs a halo taking a halos mechanical system and equip it with your own avionics is the optimal strategy.

BTW; T-129's mechanical part is very diffirent than A-128. New design is based on A-128 but changed a lot, making a fully new design. This mechanical design is done by Turkish and Italian cooperation and avionics done by Turkish firms.

That makes T-129 roughly more Turkish design than Italian.
