What if Russia creates a buffer Islamic statelet in Ukraine on the lines of Donbass and settle it's Chechen and Dagestani fighters+ middleast volunteers with their families?
They would get rid of their Islamic insurgency, heal the past, get cooperation from Islamic nations, keep the Western nations perpetually occupied trying to cope with the thorn on its side without loosing support of the Islamic nations?

I think the main thing in analysts worldwide is, how weak the russian military appears. It has bad equipment, bad planning and very low morale. When you see how well Ukraine fights it shows that Russia has zero chance against modern armies like NATO or China.

On the other hand it appears that there was also bad planning on other aspects. 380 billion € russian assets got frozen by EU just one day after Putin started the war. Why did russia keep half of its assets in EU and did not expect this?

Reposting as this is relevant: Russia is using just a fraction of their force to take down Ukraine.

As far as I know they first wave of soldiers they've sent to Ukraine are mostly conscripts, Chechen paramilitary, and some conventional forces and they're only using 1/3 of the 100k-130k soldiers they have ready to go.



It's too late, re-supplying Ukraine at this point means more NATO weapons for Russians to use in the future.

All Russian 3 initial waves hit pretty much the same limit. I read news of Russia hastily trying to stage another wave from its strategic reserves, but we see no news of any sizeable staging now.

Russia committed 60% of its military resources on Ukraine, and the best ones at that. Remember, a big portion of Russian military is stationed in very, very remote places, like the Arctic coast. They cannot fathomably pull forces from Siberia, and further away unless they have a rail connection there.

If they will send more, these forces will have to go there on the worst remaining Russian armour. We can say confidently about the level of Russian depletion because they are not pulling forces from closer up to the frontlines because there probably nothing left there in terms of usable armour. Instead they went on further extremes.

Pulling garrisons from as far as 海参崴, and mobilising airforce, and fleet staff for ground fighting follows no logic whatsoever if they had any other reserves.

1st guard tank army being moved from Moscow is completely unthinkable, it's like PLA's 1st armored division being sent away, if not worse, 1st guard division. Kremlin would've not done so unless they feared loss in Ukraine more than anything.

I noticed, there were not many news from Xi for a very long time.

He has 20th party congress looming, and he will not rock the boat.

Even if Russians will get railroaded, or even if Putin himself end up in the soup, Xi is unlikely to suffer, unless he does something stupid Ukraine related which will cause a blowback back at home.

Whatever camp in Beijing will come on top of Ukraine war result, they will still be weaker than the "3rd term camp"

Xi's camp message became very simple - "3rd term for XI, and that's it." They don't make bets on anything else, so only their previous mistakes can be used to mount assault on them.

Xi will side with the winner camp, but whack them after. Policy doesn't follow slogans in BJ. I.E: 18th congress "economic liberals" have "won," their policies are adopted, but they themselves now eat steam buns in Qincheng prison.

There is certainly some isolationist sentiment now, but again, it's inconsequential to coming internal events. China may turn more isolationist if Russia will be railroaded, and less if they will win, but overall internal direction is decoupled from that.

I have been a great supporter of PMIK but he made some big blunders like going to China and Russia against the liking of the West.

Russia has lost the war and China will fall next if it supports Russia.

Russia is dead.

It will be balkanized in the next few months.

Central Asia wall fall under Western influence.

Pakistan needs to be cautious and not to put our money on the losing side.

If getting rid of PMIK will please the West so be it. Let's not get emotional about it.

Pakistan should partner with US, NATO and Turkiye.

If Pakistan play the cards right US may reward Central Asia and even a part of Iran to Pakistan.

Dumb Indians are making a big mistake of siding with Russia which is losing.

They will lose all their IT jobs and economic prosperity in the next few months due their idiotic decisions.

On the other hand look at Bangladesh who have just entered into a Military alliance with the US to reap the benefits.

Pakistan needs to forge a strong alliance with US and NATO.

This is in the best interest of Pakistan.

West sees Russia and China as their enemy now.

If we put full faith in the West Pakistan will be rewarded.

Pakistan needs education, jobs and business from the West.

Pakistanis should think about the future of Pakistan and not get emotional.
