As we speak Russia is talking to Ukraine with no conditions. This is a fact and not some propaganda. This itself is enough indication that Russians are losing.

Surrounding the city is one thing, taking it another. Kiev is a large metro area. Ukrainians are motivated defenders, Russia has small echelons controlling the roads but these are all vulnerable to drones, air power, artillery.

Besides the "land" taken is mostly countryside where they have little resistance, major population centers are holding out. They weren't even able to break out of donbass, save for 2 prongs to the SE and North.

What "western propaganda" are you actually talking about ?

What Russian army's "performance" shows us in Ukraine.... no combined arms cooperation,severe lack of communications between different russian services and units,poor battle management,poor logistics,conscripts (who stayed for weeks on Ukraine borders in the cold) fooled on the real reasons of their deployment (Some still think they are in Ukraine for exercices....). The Russians are clearly stuck on all fronts,they are doing a little bit better on the southern front.... by bypassing all major urban areas and concentrating on the countryside.... where the resistance is much lower.

The morale is clearly on Ukraine's side despite all odds.

The Russian forces dosent use most of its potential, bcs of the civil population in the cities, noone in Moscow wants to kill tens of thousands of peaceful people, theres almost no use of air force or artillery. Also, Ukraine is very big country, almost as big as the mighty France, the territory is a key factor in a war, imagine if France was twice as smaller, the Germans were going to do the job in less than 6 weeks, no?

Dont be too harsh on the stupid Russkies, they are not as powerful as the mighty French army who set a massive benchmark in their glorious campaign in Mali in the last 10 years.

Look guys & gals, Russia is not losing by any stretch of the imagination you can discard western media/sources down the toilet where it belongs to get a better understanding of ground realities..

Bottom line Ukraine is not going to join North Atlantic Terrorist Organization (NATO) Next in line is Finland if it does not behave.

P.S. Shri Putin has not unleashed his full wrath I do not see white swan carpet bombing like in Syria.

The whole decisive victory within x hours concept was useful propaganda pushed by the media and now that it hasn't happened, it's spinning new propaganda about the attack failing.

The truth is always the first casulty of war. I have a lot of unanswered questions, but I don't think anyone can really make a judgement call on the conclusion of a conflict 4 days in.

Despite all the sugarcoating, Russia has managed to fail in all of its objectives. In some areas, Ukrainian aircraft & AA haven’t been neutralized. I think the first day was underwhelming, but I still thought they could easily win if they recovered and didn’t make the same mistakes. However, they keep charging with lightly armored vehicles into cities expecting no resistance. Also, the supply lines aren’t built for the pace of advancement.

European Union announces delivery of weapons to Ukraine, new sanctions on Russia | DW News​

The European Union said it will spend €500 million on weapons and equipment for Ukraine. For the first time in its history, the European Union will purchase weapons for a country under attack, said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. In a meeting on Sunday, EU foreign minister agreed to budget €500 million ($564 million) for weapons and equipment for Ukraine. Poland agreed to work as a logistic hub for the delivery of weapons. She also said EU airspace would be closed to Russia-owned, registered or controlled aircraft, explicitly mentioning that the ban would apply to "the private jets of oligarchs." Additionally, von der Leyen announced the 27-member bloc would take steps to stop "the Kremlin's media machine in the EU" by banning state-owned Russia Today, Sputnik and their subsidiaries. "We are developing tools to ban their toxic and harmful disinformation in Europe," she said. EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the move was aimed at "turning off the tap for Russia's disinformation in Europe." In addition to the measures against Russia, von der Leyen added that the EU agreed to sanction Russia's ally Belarus, which she called "the other aggressor in this war." In a message to the hundreds of thousands of people fleeing Ukraine, von der Leyen said they would be welcomed with "open arms." Kyiv and Moscow have sent envoys to peace talks on the Belarus border.
