Nawab Sb does not seem understand the reality on the ground. The back of the militancy has been broken, the remaining pockets have largely given up their arms or ran into the mountains and dug themselves in a hole. They pose practically no threat to the State, the most they can do is carry out sporadic attacks but they have also largely died down due to impressive work of Intelligence Agencies in tracking them down.

The biggest game changer has been the re-haul of the FC. FC is not the same force anymore, it has been completely re-hauled and is hands down the strongest force in the Area.

The current Khan should get with the times. Baloch separatism is a thing of the past and even the old generation is abandoning the movement (Akhtar Mengal). We should be patient with him and simply ignore whatever he has to say. His son and heir of Kalat represents the next generation of qom-parast Baloch tribal elders who are well integrated into the fabric of Pakistani society.

Unfortunately, MQM have the capability of reducing Karachi and since their rise to power they have taken the city hostage. Any sudden movements against Altaf will end with more harm to Pakistan and Pakistanis than any lasting impact against MQM/Altaf.
